Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
for one thing the joy that comes in serving the Lord, joy that can not be replicated in any way shape or form

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Hey
Snow White says:
hey

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Reember the other day when you were talking about missing the social aspect of the church is that all you really missed?
Snow White says:
yeah, but I don't miss the religion
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
there is a big difference from Faith and Religion
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Religion is a set of rules, faith is a way of life
Snow White says:
I don't really see where I need either
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseeen"

Snow White says:
that's in the bible, I know
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
yeah but its more than that

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
it took faith for our Ancestors to come to this country
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
LOL

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Christopher Columbus Pilgimage was as much faith as it was anything
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
else
Snow White says:
I've been beaten up so much in past year for believing, believing and getting my hopes dashed, I'm sick of it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
no one said living a life led with faith is going to be easy
Snow White says:
having faith seems to equal disappointment
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
thats a really pessimistic view of faith
Snow White says:
well, it's the way I feel

Snow White says:
at least not having faith, I'm not being let down, the reality is life sucks

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and what if in the end you find all you denied is wrong

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
my life isnt easy either, but each day is a gift
Snow White says:
well, according to your doctrine, once saved, always saved. I was "saved" as a teenager
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
its not my doctrine
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and its not something I believe
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
once saved always saved is not the reality of it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
we can fall out of his grace
Snow White says:
I'm not saying I hate living, I actually feel better since letting go of those long held beliefs, I'm not looking at life through rose colored glasses
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but we can repent and he welcomes us in
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
it doesnt seem that way too me
Snow White says:
how so?
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you seem more negative than you did before in sone ways
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
more cynical
Snow White says:
I'm honestly not trying to come across that way

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you remember the pain I felt when I lost Melissa? It was my friends  and loved ones but mostly it was God who got me through that
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
some did not understand the relationship I had with Melissa, they thought almost like I was grieving over someone I barely knew and that was not the fact of the matter at all
Snow White says:
I agree w. the first part of that, my friends have helped me through the past year, the loss of my uncle and my aunt's stroke
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but there were things your friends couldnt do that God could do
Snow White says:
cheifly you of course
Snow White says:
chiefly even
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you know one of my favorite songs by Michael W Smith speaks deeply to me
Snow White says:
yes
Snow White says:
Friends ARE friends foreve
Snow White says:
forever
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Cant believe the hopes hes granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But well keep you close as always
It wont even seem youve gone
cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the lords the lord of them
And a friend will not say never
cause the welcome will not end
Though its hard to let you go
In the fathers hands we know
That a lifetimes not too long to live as friends.
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
With the faith and love gods given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy youll live in
Is the strength that now you show

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
But well keep you close as always
It wont even seem youve gone
cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but that song speaks not only of friendship but of Faith and how with Faith we can face loss
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Remember when Steven Curtis Chapman Lost his five year old daughter in May?  He didnt turn away from God, he turned towards him as did the family
Snow White says:
yes, I remember
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
And if you look at the song Cinderlla which was recorded months before she died it was as if the Lord as preparing for that
Snow White says:
that was horrible
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
yeah it was
Snow White says:
didn't realize he only recorded that a short time before she died
Snow White says:
but I do know the song
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
yeah he did
Snow White says:
I still believe in God, he created everything, but I don't see him as caring about people
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
how can you say that when you see the good in the world, when you see people reaching out?

Snow White says:
(I'm saying this more for Karen than you, b.c you already know how I feel
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
When you see me able to stand on my own two feet with a condition that could easily have me in a chair?
Snow White says:
it's the human spirit
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and who gives us that spirit?
Snow White says:
they way we are designed, and meant to function
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and who desinged us?
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
we certainly didnt spawn from Fish or Monkeys as Darwin would have you to beleive
Snow White says:
I already said I believed God created everything
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
yeah but if he wasnt a caring God why would have give us the Human Spirit?
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Cinderlla came out in March of 08, two months later Maria died, I dont think God meant that as conicncident
Snow White says:
b.c if he had made us all like Bridget, selfabsorbed and self centered, the species would not survive
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
yeah but it still goes there is a caring God
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
have you ever witnessed the miracle of a baby being born?
Snow White says:
no, just intelligent
Snow White says:
I've sent plenty of goats being born, but never a human one
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
there is so much more than intelligence to Christ
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
was it inttelligence that nailed Christ to the cross or care?
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
A deep caring for the human spirit
Snow White says:
no, and I didn't say that
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
we live in a world that is showing us that times are drying night and if we keep denying Christ, and all he has done, if we push him out of our life, we are going to regret it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
well if God is only Intelligent, and not caring, why did he send Jesus to pay for our sins with his Son
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Why Did God take on the form of man and die for our sins, in the most agonzying way ever inviented
Snow White says:
b.c it was destine to happen, it wasn't going to happen any other way
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
do you see how little sense that logic makes?
Snow White says:
I believe everything about us is set before we are even born, all the events of our life
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
it was more than destiny it was a loving God trying to save his people
Snow White says:
it makes perfect sense to me
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
Predestination
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I am familiar with that
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but we as humans have control and God gave us that control, because we are not robots
Snow White says:
I was destine to meet you, and for us to become best friends
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
that was God's hands not some predestination
Snow White says:
that's not the way I see it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
his hand is on every detail of our lives it is up to us to accept it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
that is the way I see it,. faith has everything to do with it
Snow White says:
I will admit I choose to see things differently
Snow White says:
but that doesn't mean the way I see things is wrong
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you will find out in the end if you are wrong, and you dont want to be one who faces Christ, and Christ says "Go away I never knew you."
Snow White says:
well, there isn't any way to know right now, but I have to do what feels right
Snow White says:
just as you do
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
In the mid to late sixties Larry Norman penened a song called I Wish We'd All Been Ready, and if you look at the lyrics you will see that we are facing the end
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I WISH WE'D ALL BEEN READY

life was filled with guns and war
and everyone got trampled on the floor
i wish we'd all been ready

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
if you look at life today, you will see how much of that has come to pass
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
children died the days grew cold
a piece of bread could buy a bag of gold
i wish we'd all been ready

Snow White says:
I think sometimes people sensationalize the Bible, make it say what they want it to say
Snow White says:
not that I am saying you do that
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I think that is harsh, because I believe every word that was written in that Bible
Snow White says:
I didn't say you did it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but as I was saying if you look at the lyrics you will see just how much of that comes to pass,
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
there's no time to change your mind
the son has come and you've been left behind
a man and wife asleep in bed
she hears a noise and turns her head
he's gone
i wish we'd all been ready

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
we have a choice to make and that choice is either going to be an eternity with God, or an eternity sperared from God, we are not going to have any other options
Snow White says:
I'm surprised you didn't just send me a youtube link for this song
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and I do not want to spend my time seperated from God, seperated from the ones I love
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I wanted to show you the lyrics not just the song
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
two men walking up a hill
one disappears and one's left standing still
i wish we'd all been ready

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but I'll send the lyrics too
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
i mean the link
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
two men walking up a hill
one disappears and one's left standing still
i wish we'd all been ready

Snow White says:
I'm actually familar w. the song, although I don't recall hearing it
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
life was filled with guns and war
and everyone got trampled on the floor
i wish we'd all been ready

children died the days grew cold
a piece of bread could buy a bag of gold
i wish we'd all been ready

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
there's no time to change your mind
how could you have been so blind
the father spoke the demons dined
the son has come and you've been left behind

you've been left behind
you've been left behind

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I've probably mentioned it to you, its one of my favorites
Snow White says:
I'm sure my mom has talked about it too
Snow White says:
and my grandma
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1FcTKNXlO0
Snow White says:
they are big on this being the end times
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
but songs, songs of faith are not just meant to be listened to they are meant to be prayed over
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
the signs are here
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
If you look at the book of Revelation you wull see how much has come to pass
Snow White says:
I did an indept study of Revelation years ago
Snow White says:
when I was a believer
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
I did too
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
amd it spoke to me in so many ways it still did
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
what made you loose your faith?

Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
lose Im sorr
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
sorry
Snow White says:
I'm not sure how to explain exactly how I got to the point where I am now
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
because I have probably faced close to the same loss you have, not exactly, but my life isnt exactly a bed of roses, but I am not negative about everything
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
and on the other end I dont have a pollyanna complex like some tend to believe
Snow White says:
in short, trying to make my life work, making changes to try to make it better
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
it works alot better with faith, I have lived without faith and that kind of life is just miserable
Snow White says:
not to me
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you are always second guessing everything including your worth
Snow White says:
but that is with or with out fiath
Snow White says:
faith
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you are so hard on yourself, with faith you dont do that as much
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
with faith you see your worth in Christ
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you realize that you are worthy
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you are not as self loathing
Snow White says:
I am, either way
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
you are missing out on so much by not believing
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
for one thing the joy that comes in serving the Lord, joy that can not be replicated in any way shape or form
Snow White says:
I don't see what I am missing, the guilt from not being in church 2-3 times a week? guilt for not reading my Bible or for not feeling compeled to share my faith w. everyone I meet?
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QotZ7TIaztw
Snow White says:
that is the picture of having faith I have always been given, not by you but others
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
its not about living in gulit, and reading your Bible should be something you want to do, and if you are truly a believer you carry this light about you, this joy that comes in serving the Lord
Michelle (Resting, In A Good Deal of Pain) says:
