Trinity is happy to be back home in her repaired house, which was damaged by a recent hurricane, Hurricane Gustav.

Bonjour, mes amis!  Comment ca-vas?  J'suis tres hereux, et j'suis tres bien, merci beaucoup!

It's your friend, Trinity Mary Grace Caillier, writing.  I am happy to report that we are back in our home.  Our home  had recently been damaged by Hurricane Gustav back in the beginning of August; had a lot of roof damage, and damage to our living room.  It was a horrible mess!!

We stayed temporarily with Uncle Gizmo; he has a huge place, and he was more than happy to accomodate all of us Cailliers.  It made for a crowded house, but boy, it was fun, playin' with my cousins, and not having to watch my little brothers or sister all of the time, like I did at LeCajun!!

I had a birthday last week.  I am now fourteen.  I got a Cajun accordion for my birthday, my big gift.  No wonder maman and papa were acting so secretive for the past few weeks!  When I saw that beautiful, shiny black-and-red Martin accordion starin' at me, I could have cried, I was so happy!!

Besides the accordion, I got money (over $200 from lovin' family, friends, and relatives), new clothes, perfume (Sweet Honesty and Haiku, both from Avon; they smell so yummy!!), new earrings and rings, and new shoes.  Let's just say I made out like a bandit!!  :)

I am doing well:  school is not a problem; it's good to see my friends again.  I am doing well in all my classes; my parents couldn't be prouder of me.  Guess that's why they decided to get me the Cajun accordion, as a reward for all the hard work I've put into my schoolwork (and babysitting)!

That was very sweet of them; they didn't have to spend that kind of money on li'l ol' me!!  They could have just gotten me some clothes and I would have been happy! :)

The weather is still warm, but the nights are cooling off.  Birds are getting ready for their annual migration further down south, and some of the trees are just starting to change.  The days are getting shorter, too, and by seven thirty, it's nearly dark out.  Signs that winter is surely on its way!

I hate winter; I don't like being cold!  Once I get cold, I can't ever seem to get warm!!

Well, chere's, I'm going to go now.  We're gettin' ready to go to another Cajun festival here in Lake Charles; we'll be gone all day.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Trinity saying au revoir for now!

Laissez les bon temps rouler!! AAIEEE!

~Love, your Cajun friend, Trinity M.G. Caillier. :D

Maybe I can convince maman and papa to let me take my accordion with me! :)  Maybe I'll get lucky, get to play a duet with "BeauSoleil"; that'd be too cool!! :)

~Trinity. :D

Trinity, mon cajun aḿ, yesterday (saturday evening) I had king size prawns marninaded with garlic, chilli, cayenne, laurel, olive oil and a few more disgusting things to make them taste goooooooood!
Now you have come back I will make a second helping and we see which tears are bigger (plenty garlic with cayenne).
