Dear Louisa,
I apoligize for not visiting you of late. When other people are in your life who depend on your care and support, sometimes you forget self. I am glad to take some time out for you today. While you were busy delivering senior citizen food boxes this morning, you almost, hit a car as you made a left turn. Slow down!
This time of year is when you get into your grove. Tomorrow will be your challenge of this decade. You will have the opportunity to be a spokesperson on a favorite hip-hop radio station. You will take your young hip-hop neighbor and his friends if they will go. If they don't, you can wing it. You've got the real hook up, with God. Those hip-hops who listens tomorrow, should certainly know who Dr. Martin Luther King is, and who he represent in theirs lives, after this years 'King Day in the Park Celebration'. Now, we know before your young friends leave you after the show tomorrow, they will have a lot of the Holy Spirit to think about.
Oh, how about your friend, Dr. Vee, called you to come out tonight to practice your part as an angel in her Christmas Play. Yes, I know about the play, Louisa. I will Be there with you. I also know about the contributions to the Family Shelter and the big elf you will play. You will wrap gifts for the homeless. (It is too bad the man found dead on the park bench Wednesday did not know he had saints coming for Christmas; someone who would tell him about the love of Jesus).
You have much work too do, but don't worry.
Remember, Matthew 6:19-34, as you are putting that one foot in front of another...
and going in the way of the Lord Jesus Christ, who has made you whole for His work, you will make it.
I will see you at the ministry dinner tomorrow night.
If you do not see me, I will write again soon.
Take a deep breath...Amen
A Friendly Saint
