This was just too much, I had to write this tonight for you to enjoy, as much as I did.

Have you ever wondered, as I did?
such happenings have pondered?
This a Christmas present out of the blue,
like a gift from an Angel, from me to you,
for weeks I’ve pondered about buying a treat,
for a little bunny so sweet,
The bird food he eats, and that from the squirrels.
Leftovers he nibbles, his little mouth and nose moving in the same
rhythm, so cute, when all is quiet in the middle of the night,
there he sits, safe and sound, in my driveway or the backyard,
where no one there will give him fright.
Anyway, last minute shopping I did, and as a walked by the pet
food supply, a tiny voice in me said, why don’t you buy your little
friend a bag of rabbit food for Christmas and another voice said,
what are you nuts? You want to feed all the critters in your
neighbourhood, but the Christmas Angels voice was much louder
So I listened to her.
Innocent of any fancy thoughts I headed home around five, and as
I am driving under the carport, there sits my little friend, right in
Front of me, three feet away at the garden entrance,
astounded I was to say the least, he is looking right at the car and me sitting on his bum, I swallowed hard to catch myself, and said, now listen you, how did you know I was getting you a treat, I don’t see you before midnight any other time, it’s only five o’clock. Now I could understand if I had bought him rabbit food before, but this coincidence was just too much, I opened the bag with my car key, I had nothing else at the moment, and took a handful, I was within a foot and then he ran, down the back garden to hide under the cedar bows I left for him in the fall. I took a few big handfuls and placed it on his well worn path, so that along with some leftover greens he could find it easy enough. It was just like it was in a Disney movie, I mean,
He sat there as if expecting me, watching me open the door and the bag as if waiting, as if someone had told him, that I was coming home with something for him, like a child, with big eyes on Christmas. Wow I thought, I know the Angels know I like critters, but what a present to leave me with over the Christmas holidays, and then I thought, wow and Christmas and Easter are so closely related, an Easter Bunny for Christmas Wow!

Here I am just now reading this at Eastertime, and what a beautiful Easter story it is, too!!
No bunnies here, but plenty of cats, birds, squirrels, raccoons, and possums visit my back yard for bowls of food and fresh water every day!
Blessings and Love to you - Micke

"...like being in a Disney movie..." where all the little creatures are happy and man gives love to all of them.
A nice little story from a man with a big heart.

Wonderful story! Animals seem to know more than we think. And it was so sweet that the bunny knew you were a kind person and would care for him.

The Christmas Angels voice was much louder,
So I listened to her.

It's truly wonderful when those Angels speak to us, and this is a wonderful story Bird Whisperer, or should we now call you Bunny Whisperer!
