A short story about lesbian.

A Delayed Ring by Angela Lao

Luna waited for two years... Rina hadn't talked with her for two years.

That was three days before Luna's birthday, she left school as usual. She met Rina. Unbelievably, Rina smiled to Luna! She said to her, 'Happy birthday! Here's a gift for you!' Luna's face turn red and answered, 'Thanks.' 'Anyway, Luna, do not open this box until it's your
birthday on next Monday, okay?' said Rina and left with a gently smile.

That night, Luna really wanted to open the gift but she didn't. She waited.

On Saturday, which was two days before Luna's birthday, she wanted to open the gift but she didn't. She waited. As she was waiting for Monday coming, she bought a newspaper for relaxing...

Unfortunately, the leading article was 'Young lady died in the car accident the night before', and the name of the lady was Rina!! Luna cried and cried but she didn't open the gift even she knew Rina couldn't be alived. She waited.

On Sunday, Luna waited till the midnight when the clock ticked to twelve.
Luna opened the gift and discovered a RING! A platina ring with crystal!
She couldn't believe that and tears shone inside her eyes.

There was a letter, too... 'Luna, acutally I loved you since the first time I met you. Anyway, my Mom who is a fortune teller said that I will get bad luck if I continue to love you. At first, I trusted her and stopped meeting you. By the way, I couldn't stand for missing you. I decided to send you a ring that could represent my feeling to you and I'll wait you at the school gate on your birthday, 10am. I wait you. Rina'

Luna's tears dropped and she couldn't sleep the whole night. On Monday morning, 10am, Luna wore the ring and waited at the school gate. She stood there for half day... She waited as she sang the birthday song to Rina's picture...

That was a cool day on 24th Nov, 2009...
