Trinity Caillier writes about the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival that she and her family recently attended, amongst other goings-on in her life.

May 14, 2009, Lake Cherles, LA., 6:06 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Bonjour, mes ami!  Comment-ca vas, hein?  J'suis tres bien, merci beaucoup!

It's your friend, Trinity Caillier; hope this finds y'all well!  Sorry if I haven't written in a few months, but I have been busier than a centipede in a toe-counting contest:  between tons of schoolwork, babysitting my stupid brothers and sisters, and whatnot, I just don't have the time to write!

I hope you understand!

In any event, I wanted to write to let y'all know I was still alive.  LOLOLOL  I also wanted to write to you about the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival, which we went to last weekend.  It was a total blast!!  We saw a lot of wonderful dancing and heard a lot of great Cajun/zydeco bands, not to mention, ate our fill of crawfish:  fixed up to any fashion, including burgers, hotdogs, pie, etoufee', jambalaya, gumbo, and even boudin or andouille (sausage).  It was rich, my friends, rich!!

We were in Breaux Bridge the entire weekend of the Crawfish Festival.  We stayed at an aunt's house (aunt Glory), and they were more than happy to have us over.  We played, and the adults had a great time visiting, catching up on news.

I saw one of my favorite bands there:  BeauSoleil.  I also saw Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux and her band, "Cajun Spice", another band I've come to love.  As usual, they did great; in fact, Ronee' had her brother, Johnathon, come up to play a song with her, and he had the place groovin'!  He was HAWT!!

I danced until I thought my legs were going to fall off, especially during "BeauSoleil" and Ronee' 's segment; I also danced when Wayne Toups/"ZydeCajun" and Belton Richard took to the stage.

Let's just say the next day I could barely move, I was so sore and stiff!  *OW*!  LOLOLOLOL

The weather couldn't have been more ideal for the Crawfish Fest:  bright wall-to-wall sunshine, coupled with nice stiff breezes, nary a cloud in the sky, and temps in the eighties to lower nineties.  Not too bad; in fact, I would have to say the weather was perfect!

Now it's over for another year, and we're back home here in Lake Charles, where we have a few weeks of school left before summer vacation heats up.  Good; I can hardly wait:  I am sick of school!!!!

Well, I have to go now:  my littlest brother got his head stuck in between the stupid banister again; have to see if I can free him without having to call for the fire department like he did last time; it was nothing short of embarrassing!!  I will write in here again, hopefully sooner than I did last time!  Sorry about that, but you know how that goes!

Take care and may God bless you!  Laissez les bon temps rouler, and AAIIEEE!!!!

~Love, your friend in Louisiana, Trinity M.G. Caillier.  :)
