This was a dream I had that I thought might turn into a moe indepth story of some kind later on. If I can, I always include the date of the dream.

Thursday, April 12, 2007

A mother and her 2 kids are told by her brothers that if she does not get a job and take care of her kids that they will take the kids away and make her marry again to one of their rich friends. So she goes out and finds a job and while for 1 year her brothers pay her rent and buy food. She teaches her son how to cook eggs and make oatmeal, and how to make grill cheese sandwiches on a small George Foreman grill. She teaches him how to take care of his little sister, dressing her and doing her hair. She goes to work all day and night and only sees the kids in the morning when they are leaving for school and she is coming from work. This goes on for more than one year more like 5 years. Now the son is fifteen and the daughter is 11 now.

The apartment is a strange design. When you walk in, you are immediately in a small bedroom. It is a functional bedroom, but at the same time it appears to be like a fake room. When you move the dresser and push back the mirror (they are both on hinges and the dresser has wheels.), you enter the real apartment, where there is the living room and kitchen and another 2 small bed rooms and a bathroom.

What does this all mean?

hmmm, what is the plot to drive the story, does the mother rise above?
does the son step up or let down and what is motivating the daughter, etc. I get my best ideas in dreams because I can change things on the fly.
This could be an interesting character voyage.
