By the time the two of them got to the jail, Jesse was tired of
listening to Ron threaten that he would get her back just as soon as he got out of jail. Jesse left him at the jail with Logan and Clint his deputies and brothers too.
Faye, her mom and dad stayed up into the morning hours talking. Her parents now knew the extent of the abuse she had been taking. Neither could understand why she did not get in touch with them earlier. Of course she was scared of her husband, he had threatened to kill her and the children could watch then he’d kill them if she told anyone about the abuse. So she hid the bruises, shielded the boys from him, and did what he told her to do. Now she started crying and said, “he really will kill us now.” Her dad told her to quit talking that way, they would help her now that they knew what was going on. She would have to stand up to him.
The sheriff got curious about this out of town boy here, so he
got his arrest and warrants record and started finding warrants on him from other cities for the exact same thing. Then a little farther down the list he found where he had married before and his wife and daughter went conveniently missing a few years back. In fact just a year or so before he showed his slick hindend up here.
The more he dug the more he found out about this good ole boy! This is not the image Ron wanted seen when he came into town and married the young girl of his brothers’. Well, he had him now. He went to the jail to talk to him and the deputies said he made bail. He had left about twenty minutes ago. Bail; hell ain’t no bail been set on that feller. He quickly called his brother, Tom’s house but no one answered. He and his no good deputies headed out to Tom’s
house to see if that boy was stupid enough to go back there. He knew Tom would not take nothing off him; he would kill him in a heartbeat for that daughter and those two grandsons of his.
Hope I am not too late….
