Rat Nose here.
So how was your Thanksgiving? Mine was good; Gloria, the Wicked Witch of the West (aka, my older sister) was actually acting civil towards me. I think the turkey did something to her personality ...
We had a good Thanksgiving: we went to the Dallas Christmas Parade, then came back home to McKinney, where we helped feed the homeless at the church. It was so gratifying to see the look of relief and thanksgiving on those poor people's faces; they really appreciated the free meal! We ate after we fed the homeless; the turkey tasted a lot better, knowing we did something good for mankind!
Makes me realize just how blessed I really am ... I have a roof over my head. A family who loves me, even my older sister (she can be a pain in my karkas, but she is a good sister; she isn't all bad!!). Friends. Good health. Grandmas and grandpas (they gave me money for Thanksgiving; over $300.00, so now I have Christmas-shopping money!!). Knowing Jesus Christ as my saviour. Living in a free country.
Many people don't have nearly all that I do; for that I give thanks today, the day after Thanksgiving ... and always!
I also got news that I will start working next week; I report to Taco Cabana on Monday. I will be doing dishes. I will work five days (okay, nights) a week for now; depending on how good of a job I do, I might end up getting more hours. Hope so; that would be good, with Christmas coming up! :)
The weather here in Texas has been awesome: bright blue skies, temps in the sixties and seventies. Just perfect!! You couldn't have asked for better weather!
Just hope it continues!
Though I wouldn't mind seeing some snow and/or cold weather for Christmas: somehow temps in the seventies and no snow doesn't seem to fit together with the Christmas season!
Well, I'm at school as I write this; waiting for the bus to come, so I can go home. I will write in here again; until then, this is Rat-Nose saying so long! God bless and have a very merry Christmas season! May it be your best Christmas ever!
