We can never remove yourselves from association with unbelievers; nor should we. We are not of this word but we have to live in this world. But we have to let them know Jesus through us. We have to set the standards. Then, just maybe, we can become the lifeline God uses to reach someone who is still struggling with doing more evil than good. If you associate with a group of people that are telling dirty jokes, eventually you'll find yourself laughing. If you associate with people that swear like they drink water, eventually you will find yourself doing the same thing. It’s easier to do evil than to do good! And that refers to our sin natures.
We all posse a sin nature that we inherited from Adam, the first man created by God. (Psalms 51:5) Our nature is the fundamental character of the way we choose to live. So how did we get a sinful nature? Because of Adam, and that is why we are all born with a sinful nature, because one man condemned the world with the result of one trespass. (Rom 5:18-19) So what is sin exactly? Sin is a way of showing an offence or rebellion against God, with things like Vanities, selfishness, being prideful, envy, and hate, the list can go on.
Our sin nature (Romans 5:12)
We have to start by putting aside our nature and putting on God’s nature, which is love and righteousness. It’s like fighting yourself, because you have to fight the flesh and allow the spirit to control your life. The old flesh always wants to go back to its old habits, but you have to resist by walking in the spirit of God. Evil is disguised so often isn't it? The devil knows and does his job well; it does not always look like we are up to evil. We get carried away with the tide of events, if we are not careful to guard ourselves and look to Christ.
We have been set free from our sinful nature, but that old nature is not gone. It will not die without a fight. That is why you must fight the good fight of faith, and have faith that God implant his nature in us. While our two natures are constantly in conflict, it is not our sin nature that ultimately controls us. We will sin, but we will not continue in unrestraint sin, because you are not controlled by the sin nature but by the spirit, if the spirit of God lives in us. Sin in our life will be followed by remorse and repentance.
Because Satan never sleeps, never wearies, never gives up...very beautiful, enticing, tempting, lying...will tell your flesh what it wants to hear. Once Satan knows your weaknesses and strengths he uses these against you. Solution: put on the armor of God every night and day, learn to trust in God's word to be your strength, pray everything-bring
God has given us a free will to choose for ourselves who we are going to allow in running our life either the sin nature or Gods nature. We need to know which is in our best interest. If we follow the sin nature we are bound for hell and if we follow Gods nature we will go to heaven. The choice is you’re to make and nobody can make the choice for you.
