Jesus Saved the Cobblers Sole: The Shoeless Child
A literary, rock 'n roll biblical fable ©§® by Sage Sweetwater
they sold her shoes
for intoxicating beverage,
oxen walked crippled in repent
for their owners abuse,
cobbler full of grace
knew about struggle and
temptation, so to assure this
child as a grown woman she
would not be illiterate cobbler
spelled the word shoes for her,
and sized her sole, simple it seemed,
"Jesus sent me to teach you how to get
above your raisin, be educated! Why be
a C student? Don't put your foot in your
mouth,"
but the child
did not heed, she
walked the hot desert
sand with ignorance,
burning her feet, Jesus
explaining to the cobbler
that some with narrow minds
will suffer with blistered feet,
censorship sandals speak of
Jerusalem's miles of those stoned,
I put bread in his jar,
he said man what are
you doing here? Billy Joel
the piano man, I replied,
donating to the cause, Jesus
saved the cobblers sole/soul,
the shoeless child.

There is a lot here that we can see between the lines as well as what is written. You know what Sage, someone saved my souless body and told me that God watches over all no matter if they are Chritian or atheist, He watches over all. That night I went to bed and prayed for loving and accepting friends and family, and except for my sisters, I have that now with all of you here.
This story reminded me of the my coming out of the dark days with the light of heaven. You write so beautifully, and so intricate are the thoughts you put down.
This is a wonderful story Sage, keep being blessed as you write more.
May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister Barbie |

Sage, again, like so much of your writing, you layer your thoughts so neatly that just as you have laid down one track, whammo! here comes another, deeper, many times more profound track, revealing even deeper truths.
Cheers,
Dan |

Hi Sage:
I can't hear anything. As always I'm having problems with that. I have iTune with me, so I don't know if iTune has a conflict with what you are using.
Great poem with a message! You are expanding your limit in your writing, which is a good sign. A good writer should be able to write of many things.
