My name is Bodie James Bostwick. I am seven years old.
I live with my family in Aberdeen, Scotland. I was born in America, but my daddy, he joined the Air Force, and we move around a lot. Right now he's serving here in Scotland, which is why we are here instead.
Daddy is a sergeant.
Mummy takes care of the kids. Besides me, there's my sister Willah Marie (she's ten) and my two baby brothers, Ian Patriac (six) and Paulie MacDuff, who is four. They're brats, my brothers, and my older sister is a pain in my neck. Bossy ain't the WORD to describe her!!
I am in primary school, in year three (second grade). Here I learn my numbers and how to write better. I also learn science, and how things work, and also history about Scotland and the whole wide world. School is okay, but it's boring sometimes; I'd rather be playing football with my chums!
When I say "football", I am talking about soccer. Soccer is very big here. So is golf, which is another thing I like to do.
I have fire engine-red hair, dark-blue eyes, and freckles on my face and arms. I look just like mummy. Daddy, he has black hair and cold, ice-blue eyes. You don't want to get him mad; he has a temper!
I don't know how long we will be here in Scotland, but I really don't like it much. Mummy does because that's where she's from; she came to America when she was a teenager. She still talks like a Scottish person: she has that heavy Scottish brogue. I think it's cool, and so do my friends. Who knows where we will end up next? Maybe we'll end up in China or maybe Alaska. It depends on where the Air Force needs to put him, on account of his job.
I'm only seven, but I've lived in Guam, Rhode Island, California, Ohio, Tennessee, and now Scotland. I guess you can say I've been around.
In addition to golf and football, I like to read (Leminy Snicket and Harry Potter are top choices with me), write stories or poems (I am very smart), watch television, pal around with my chums during school (and after when the weather is nice), and collect anything to do with dinosaurs. I am a typical seven-year-old boy.
Well, I gotta get back to studying, or Mrs. Boyle, my teacher, will have my neck. She doesn't like us kids fooling around. I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Bodie Bostwick saying I'm outta here! Bye!
~Bodie James. :)
