Teen social outcast Agatha (Aggie) updates us on what's been going on in her life.

Hello from Alaska!

It is me, Agatha (Aggie).  The one kids call "Mule-Face", on 'count I am so freakin' ugly.  Well, I AM!!  Look at me and tell me that I am pretty, which I am anything but!

Still wishing I had more friends, but school has gotten a little better, only because I go part of the day instead of a full day.  Too much name-calling and nasty threats coming my way, and I got tired of it; told my parents, and they decided to cut back on my school hours.  I go from noon until four p.m., and I do my homework on the bus,  which is fine with me.  Just as long as I don't have to see "The Black Widows" (as I call the Popular Kids), then that's good.

I still see them at lunch or when I change classes, but other than their smarmy looks and nasty whispers, I don't say a word to them or dare look at them.  They know I've ratted on them, so they hate me even more.  Which isn't too surprising.

I am also fighting with Katie-Rose and Bliss, who are my two (gorgeous) older sisters.  I would give anything to look more like them, but no ... I was blessed with grandma's (not-so-pretty) looks.  Nothing against grandma, but she wasn't that beautiful.  I took after her in terms of appearances, and at times, it gets downright embarrassing, especially when the kids tease me and call me names like "Butt-Ugly", "Horse Face", or the ever-popular "Mule-Face".

Life at home hasn't changed that much, but I am getting away from the celeb phase.  I am getting sick and tired of hearing how pretty they are when they are nothing but a bunch of fakes.  I'd rather see people the way they really are inside.  I've had it with celebrity worship!

Instead, I busy myself with school work, church, going to the mall with my family, and helping out at the old folks home as part of my teen church activities.  I really enjoy visiting the old people; they are a lot of fun, and I love hearing them tell their stories!  It's very interesting to hear how life was fifty years ago!

Sometimes I wish we could go back to that time, when people seemed to be a lot nicer to others!

Well, I am going to go; it's time to eat lunch and then head off to school.  I will write in here again soon; I know it's been too long!  Take care and talk to you later!

~Love, your friend, Agatha Agnes Deanne Gutman.

Beauty is only skin deep. Who knows: maybe when she gets older, she'll become the beautiful one. Excellent story, Karen, well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
