Epiphany is almost 500 years old though she doesn't look a year over 40. She was a statuesque and memorable woman with brown eyes that looked unreal and a bone structure that spoke of ancient roots her hair was that crinkly and wavy kind that swung to the middle of her back. Antonio wasn't surprised that she approached him only what had taken so long. He was about to find out that sometimes "love just is" and you never know about a person until you see them in a variety of situations. Epiphany was West Indian with a Mother who was half Irish and black. Antonio was 100% Negro,African American "a brother" he would say.He was over 6ft tall with a basketball player build. He kept his hair and mustache and goatee perfectly trimmed. Where Epiphany was exciting and exotic Antonio was solid as a rock and very sensible until...he fell in love with his cougar. Antonio would just be turning 30 on his next birthday but he was very accomplished and confident.

Epiphany sat swinging her thick and muscled legs as she crossed and uncrossed them to the beat of the music. Her red dress slid up to expose a brown thigh and her curvy body filled out the dress just right. She brushed a wayward curl from her face and continued her chair dance. The man sitting to the left sipping his beer almost missed his mouth on two occassions after she showed to much thigh. Antonio was staring now and he knew it. He was sitting at the table facing the bar and "willing " Epiphany with his mind to come to his table. The two had seen each other around the neighborhood but nothing ever transpired. Antonio wasn't really into older women but it was something about her that took his breath and his attention away . She was at his table smiling down with those pretty teeth and dimples set in a cinnamon brown face. her skin seemed to shine like satin and her perfume was making him "high". "Well are you going to invite me to sit down or what?" asked Epiphany. Antonio was taken aback cause he was sure he had to have dribbled spit from watching her walk towards him. She had those kind hips that a coke bottle shape label would be insufficient. As they say down south she was "A big fine thang"! She stuck her hand out and said, " I'm Epiphany and I just had to come over here and get away from that old man!"  Antonio stood up slowly and slid the chair out for her , never taking his eyes off of the movement of her body. They ordered drinks and chatted as if they had known each other forever. And when the band came on and people crowded the floor he forgot himself and literallly drug Epiphany to her feet. She looked at her watch not wanting to push things if she started to feel the change she would slip away and find another playmate . She found herself liking Antonio so the idea of taking his life force after a few romps in the bed flew right out the window. It had been days since she was nourished by the loving attention of a younger man. Epiphany could feel  his heart beat as they turned in and out with the latin rhthym. Any other time she would be putting on a show she so liked attention. But tonight she was more focused on the man rather than the feeding. No she wasn't exactly a Succubus but she was cursed and blessed at the same time. It was her misfortune to have been the love child of a very important man and his lover a high Priestess on their small island. Epiphany's mother had insisted that her father and his wife take Epiphany until she was 16 and she would take her back. But somehow things didn't go as planned. In anger Epiphany's mother tried to curse Epiphany's step-mother but ended up tainting Epiphany instead. The only way they could stop the premature aging and immortality was to either feed off of the young to keep her youth. Or to reveal her true form and if her lover didn't deny her she would be restore to twice the age she was when she was cursed. How do you tell a man you are so toally interested in that you can't sleep with him. And this was not just some man . Epiphany hadn't felt the butterflys in years maybe five decades. She had tried to live a normal life getting married and having a child. And she had to watch them die and she had to disappear . But for the last five years she had grown weary of laying with the men but never really connecting her. Morally she was unaffected so use to the stories her mother told her about man and woman having been "gods" hundreds of years before the "Flood". Most of the time Epiphany just listened and said "For real!" at the right places. But over the years she had grown more responsible about affecting lives the way that she did. She was weary ! Antonio was whispering in her ear now about getting a night cap at his house. Epiphany sucked air and turned away from him. She didn't want to hurt him and she wanted him .  She couldn't do that ...."COULD SHE?"
