It's Brianna here, Corey's Mom. I am glad to say Corey is doing better than he was, though I still worry about him, but what Mom doesn't worry about her son though LOL?
Corey's finishing up his physical therapy which lasts until six p.m he goes three afternoons a week from four to six, so I am sitting here writing while I have the chance. I am proud of my son and all he has endured although the fact that my Son has Duchene's scares the life out of me. I pray that something is done in the way of a cure so I don't have to bury my little boy, but so far God has been good to us. He always has been, but you know what I mean.
Corey is doing well with his classes, I still homeschool him. It's easier all around not to mention he can move at his own pace, which in some subjects is well beyond kids his age. Corey certainly has no issues with learning and reading and writing are his favorite subjects.
I tease him sometimes telling him he was born with a book in one hand, and a computer in the other LOL! He does his writing on a computer, because it is easier for him. I want to make things as accessible to him as possible.
I am proud of Corey, and all he has done for himself. The fact that he has made it this far. He is already surpassing all the odds. Corey is a fighter and I thank God for that, or he could not endure all he has endured.
