I am proud of Aaquila and so proud to be her Mom, her forever Mom. We love her unconditionally and the fact that she can not walk well does not change that. I can not understand how some people can judge others by what they can or can not do, instead of just loving the child.

Aaquila has grown in leaps and bounds in the past year and a half, and is doing so much better than when she first came to us.  She is no longer the scared child she was when she first came to us.

I am proud of Aaquila and so proud to be her Mom, her forever Mom.  We love her unconditionally and the fact that she can not walk well does not change that.  I can not understand how some people can judge others by what they can or can not do, instead of just loving the child.

Academically Aaquilla is ahead of many of her peers, so we homeschool her in some subjects, but she does go to school part time as well, because she enjoys it, and I want to encourage her.  She attends a private Christian school, and has given her heart to the Lord which has made our heart leap for joy.

Keith and I are in the process of adopting another little girl from Kenya.  She too is disabled and her family can not care for her, unlike Aaquilla she was not abandon though, her parents want to give her a better life, and I can udnerstand that.  With this child who they call Hope we plan on keeping in touch with the family.  Having a sort of open adoption.

Well I must go now Aaquilla has physical therapy shortly.

God Bless

Jessica Michelle Anaheim~
