Anything that makes you feel frustrated, angry, nervous or anxious is stressful and will rob you of peace and quite. Here is a Strategy to Beat Stress to continue your pursuit of Peace and Happiness.

1. Socialize.  Call  or visit friends and realtives.  Join a Book Club or other community organizations.  Be part of society. You will discover that other people have more problems than you.  You are better off in many respects.

2. Exercise. Walk from 30 to 45 minutes a day or at least every other day. Studies show that exercise reduces anxiety, releases tensions and spurts the brain to pump out endorphins which creates a sense of well being.

3. Eat a Healthy Balanced Diet. Start the day with a bowl of Oatmeal with Flaxseed and Soy Milk.  For lunch and dinner, try to get as much veggies, like brocolli, asparagus, bitter melon, kale and other greens.  With chicken, turkey, very lean beef.  Avoid processed food, fast foods and pizzas.

4.Occupy yourself with healthy activities. Activies which you really enjoy doing. Like sports activities, reading, playing music gardening, or visiting friends.

5. Get Small Escapes. Break your day by doing something different than your work or routine.  In the evening for instance, instead of watching the same evning news, watch an old DVD movie which takes you elsewhere, away from your immediate surrounding.  Try it and find out how relaxing it can be.

6. Practice Slow, Deep Breathing.  It will relax you.  Shallow, fearful breathing seems to send stress signals to the brain.
