                                            THE LAST AMAZON  ATTACK

Quietly, from her hiding-place Ariana watched how town she had once called home burned. She heard the victorious shouts from men throwing torches to building what once had been Temple of Artemis...Temple of her goddess.

She were proud warrioress, born as such...She didn't have tears, otherwise she would have cried herself till death, watching this awful sight. The young amazon warrior dropped on her knees and screamed in pain and anger. "Father Ares! Watch our city burn! Watch my sisters whom believed in your word die! ...Does blood of my sisters satisfy your thirst even for a day??" First time in her short life, she cried.

Suddenly from nothing, appeared white deer and it spoke to her. "Sister of Artemis. Your homeland is no more..." before the deer could continue, she smirked and answered "Tell me something I don’t know..." The deer laid down and watched the blonde warrioress with weird big brown eyes what had more intelligence than even eyes of most humans.

"Artemis never forgot your people. But greed of male-kind were too much for her to overcome..."

"I know...but what shall I do now?"

"You are the last of amazons. It's up to you to find your way in this world."

The deer studied her for moment.

"You wish revenge."

"By our laws...I must do my best to revenge death of my sisters"

The deer bowed its head sadly.

"You do what you must. Your honor shall be remembered. The army what attacked Themiscyra has put out camps around it on three sides. Artemis shall bless you with gift of night walk. At night you may walk unseen but at day you are vulnerable."

She bowed in front of the deer before it disappeared. Then, she put her bow over her shoulder and grabbed her spear, moving in woods. After short walk, she moved on tree like squirrel and watched camp fires burn not so far a way. Then she jumped from tree to another faster than many eyes could see and suddenly she were closer to the camps...

Her name was Penthulesia. Yesterday she had been guards of her queen. Now prisoner like hundreds of others in the camp...But what was this? of a bird she had never heard before but what she knew. It was language what amazonian hunters used, so they won’t scare away said "Night shall darken and end will come to enemies of Artemis."

Her eyes widened. The message came from woods...not from the cages. Penthulesia knelt down and let out soft song of crow. "Who is our sister who is still free?" and after moment came answer "Ariana...Toxo-polemestria (The Archer)" Penthulesia's eyes widened. One amazon in woods would be enough to match ten warriors in open...but Toxo-polemestrias would match twenty at nights. After while came question "How many of adelphes (sisters) are prisoned there?" After short counting she could answer "twenty on this one, birds sing of more in other camps"

Suddenly three blue-headed arrows fled on camp fires and the fires faded off. The men stood and lift up their swords just to fell down as three arrows came from darkness and hit all three of them same time. Next arrow hit the rope holding door of their cage and they got free. Penthulesia grabbed sword from the guard she knocked down and led the amazons off from cage. Those who could fight, fought and those who could walk, helped those who couldn’t.

Ariana fled from tree to tree like squirrel. Making herself seem invisible to those trying to find her. "Amazons!! Amazons everywhere!!" she heard screams as men one after another felt on ground by her arrows. New kind of joy and hope filled her heart. She was not last of Amazons! Only thing she would have to do is get her sisters away from here. Ariana saw her sisters fighting their way from cages and shoot load of arrows on the males threatening her sisters and jumped down from the tree, running to join them.

Her last troop prepared for fight. Eulogy of the gods, the prays, use of sacred poisons, meditation and the ritual dance makes everyone to a condition of the battle ecstasy. And after this preparations to the attack, they are literally has sent on the enemy fire of this energy of destruction. With a cloud of arrows, they promptly moved to the centre of enemy army. There, behind the lines of the guards, was the place of the proud Asian warlord. And any arrow flying to enemy side found there the aim.

The Persian camp was warned - Asian barbarians run to the middle of camp, they took their weapons and hold the position around the tent of the Great Persian King. Where their commanders and chiefs trying to keep the defense. The words of their orders and commands flew over the lines of spears and shields...

"To arms!" "Hold the position!" "We are under attack!"

And after that, arrows fall down from the darkness on the lines of these defenders. "To arms!" the King screamed and gathered all of his twenty guards around him. "Where is rest of us??" he screamed now more scared than angry. "All dead or ran off, my lord!" and in same cavalry of females on leather armors came from shadows.

"I am Ariana, the Archer... Surrender or die." came voice from front of them. The King of Asia thought for moment, looking at his barbarians who looked back at him, faces begging. His face went on insane smile and lifted up his sword. "Never!" and in same the amazons attacked...

… But more terrible than anything was this cavalry attack and hand-to-hand fight, after that. Where nobody have mercy to no one. The swords - sharp like razors, scattering  and cuts the enemy bodies. And many, who were under attack, had no time even to understand, that their muscular male torsos are split on a parts by promptly attack of the rest of women-warriors - who like the furious female demons having destroyed the elite of their army, and were already behind of them, in a depth of their lines. Even when the head of the warlord has fall from his shoulders, and rolling down with the amazed eyes, not have time enough to realize, that the fight was finished during few instants...

When the army lost their king and his commanding officers, they run away from the battle field...

The attack was like a lightning stroke, like a burst of light from sunset. It was the shock for the enemy. And the doom of men. Other work was done by the infantry of amazons - the bravery women with the big round shields and long spears – they moved by a trace of the attacking troops. And the amazon troop, without any attention to all what happening now on the battlefield, ride with the proud faces of the angels of revenge to the shore. Their long hair flying on a wind like their victorious banners. Their light, translucent clothes seized by belts, opened their naked, beautiful, brawny hips and bodies, and the bronze plates (shining on the left breast of everyone), reflects the beams of the bright rising sun. And they sang the hymn of a victory by their young voices of the furious battle angels...

Queen Ariana's speech to her amazons.

Sisters of Artemis, Daughters of Ares and Harmony. Our homelands are no more! We shall take the ships of dead invaders and sail in island of Cyprus what Artemis has pointed out for us and there we shall build our new Realm! These lands were not for us. We not only aimed to be equal to males, but supreme them always in any time and space is our Faith. Centuries our race lived in these lands in peace, and ruled in Asia, till the time when the heroes of Greece and Asian kings dares to fight against our rule.

We defeated them in the many battles and offered peace to the mightiest son of Zeus, but Hercules took the girdle of our Queen, though it was a gift to her from the war god, Ares, and sailed back to Greece with the rest of his army of heroes.

Then the male-kings from all tribes of Asia did not accept our rule and joined together to destroy us again. Because of their opinion on that women should not lead. Women should not fight. Women should not stay free...  But we have proved them wrong! In their great victory they lost their twice as large army as ours and only got half of ours! We never wanted this war...But in name of Artemis we ended it!

Long life the amazons!!! We fought and we won, we'll fighting and we'll win!
