I do not regret answering the call, serving and protecting my country.

May.17.2011

I lost my legs in some desert in the middle east, fighting for our country, but do I regret it no?

I do not regret answering the call, serving and protecting my country.

What galls me is those trying to blame every bad negative thing that happened on those of us who fight.  I am tired of veterans or military men and women like myself being treated with little or no respect.

It was men and women like us who finally helped to bring down Osama Bin Laden, and believe me that in itself was worth loosing my legs over.

Do I grieve over what I lost?  Of course I do, I am human of course, but I am a soldier, and this chair, and the fact that my legs are gone do not change that.

I am just fighting a new battle now, trying to master life as a double amputee but believe me that is not going to change who I am and it is sure in the heck not going to change the person I am.

I still live for the Lord, and I still believe in fighting for what I believe is right, I believe in morales, and I believe in serving our country.

Well I am going to go for now, but I am going to write again soon.

God Bless

Deseret!
