The Whiskey Speech by Judge Noah S. Sweat of Mississippi (Voiced by Richard Lee Orey)

Reportedly, Judge Sweat took 2 1/2 months to write this
speech and 3 1/2 minutes to deliver it.  I present his speech
                                                                  here by soundtrack, only.
                                                                  Enjoy.

         "Whiskey!"

A speech delivered by Judge/Representative Noah S. Sweat
to the Mississippi State Legislature as it considered the issue
                                                             of whiskey and prohibition.

Wonderful, Richard! It's like anything else in life ... it all depends upon how you look at it. You did a great job with the speech, by the way.
Hugs to you,
CJ
p.s. It's nice to be reading your work again, my friend.

Richard, that's quite a speech made by Judge Noah S. Sweat of Mississipi and recreated by you in your video. Indignation echoes in your voice as it must have in his.

My little town is undergoing a stand to legalize liquor here. One man is pushing it with petitions and such, and I suspect if it passes he will open the biggest bar in town. It will bring tax dollars to a poor little town, but I have mixed feelings about it.

Right now we have a few beer bars in town and I don't think they get a great deal of business. People who want hard liquor can go across the county line to buy it. However, this town is made up of merchants, family folks working on minumum wage(who can't afford to buy alcohol, and retirees like me. Under those circumstances, I have to ask if we really need liquor in this county?

You did a good job on your video presentation.
