The Adventure Begins

Its a story about an adventure who seeks out new challenges. But after surviving a storm, he is contacted by the Navy to investigate his underwater platform that mysteriously disappeared under the ocean. Its job was to investigate an asteroid impact that should have wiped out all life on the world. But mysteriously, it did not.
