A little girl with a rather patriotic name continues her story.

June 2011~

Liberty Bell Fox writing.  Thought an update was in order, so here goes ...

In a few weeks, I will be 11 years old.  My birthday is on July 4th.  I can't wait!!

I just hope I get through the day without any cracks about my head being cracked like the Libery Bell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (yeah, people still say that about me, and it's highly annoying!!) or shooting my mouth off again every time fireworks go off!  If I hear one more stupid comment like that, I think I am gonna scream!!  It drives me crazy!!

I am happy to report that I passed fifth grade!  Got all A's and B's on my report card; my family is very proud of me.  I will be in the sixth grade in September.

We have had a lot of storms here.  The last storm knocked over some big trees in our yard, damaged our fence, and knocked out our power for three days.  We ended up having to stay at the YWCA.  Our A/C went out too right after that; this was why we had to go to the YWCA, so we could keep cool.  Now it is sunny out and pretty mild; not too bad, but if you ask me, I've had enough of the storms!  It's been a bad year just about everywhere this summer and spring!

For the Fourth/my birthday, we are going to go to the beach and veg out, and on Independence Day itself, we're going to the Capital and listen to the orchestra and watch the fireworks exploding over the Potamic (spelling?) River.  It's gonna be crazy; millions of people are expected to attend.

I dread the traffic jam on the way home ... we'll probably be stuck in it until three/four in the morning!  Or maybe even longer than that, since we DO live in Richmond; that's a rather long drive! YUCK!!

My brother Vance is still being a giant pain in my tukus (he's nine).  He's always been something of a brat; seems he's only gotten worse.  He's on a dragon kick; he wants a pet dragon for his next birthday.  Sorry to disappoint him, but there's no such thing as a dragon in real life, unless you count the Komodo dragon, and there's no way on God's green earth we're getting him one!  They're NASTY!!

As for my sisters (Romilla and Tyden, who are 14 and 15), they're not too bad, but I think Romilla has been binge eating; I hear her vomiting at night after she's eaten.  Guess someone told her she was fat.  I hope mom and dad look into this before she ends up hurting herself or winds up in the hospital!  That would not be good; I am very worried about Romilla!

I know I have to tell Mama about this, but Romilla made me pinky-swear that I wouldn't, so I'm caught between a rock and a hard place.  What to do??  What to do??

My best friend, Harlowe Dean, is going on a cruise for her summer vacation; her parents are taking her to Alaska for two weeks!  I wouldn't mind going; it would be a lot cooler than here in the summer, plus from what I've seen in pictures, Alaska is a very beautiful place, wtih lots of trees, mountains, and animals.  Yeah, I would like that!  :)

Too bad I can't sneak along ... I wouldn't mind going to Alaska!  :)

Well, I gotta go.  Take care and may God bless you; sorry it's been so long since I wrote in here!  Just say some prayers that my brother settles down and that Romilla stops her stupid binge eating before she wrecks her health!  I'd greatly appreciate it!  And pray my birthday goes without a hitch and that we get to Washington DC (and back) in one piece!  Any and ALL prayers are accepted! Thanks in advance!

~Liberty.  :)
