Medusa Jones is enjoying her new found blessings in life.

I am so tickled I feel like dancing ... that is, if I COULD dance.  LOL Not as agile as I used to be, but heck ... none of that's never stopped me before!

I have a home to call my own.  Well, not exactly a "home", mind you, but it's better than where I've been.  I have my own place; I and several other "street people" live in government housing for lower income homeless people who are trying to get back on their feet.  Been here the past month or two, and I love having a place to come back to!

I am also working.  Working at H-E-B in Burleson; livin' in south Fort Worth.  Burleson is close, so I take the bus every day to Burleson and it drops me off at work.  I work in the bakery, frostin' cakes and stuff.  I love it!

I do have to work on the Fourth of July, but my boss has assured me that I will get off in plenty of time for the fireworks later that evening.  My ex is back in my life; he is tryin' to make amends.  As long as he can prove himself worthy of apologizing for the pain he's caused me and my girl Turquoise in the past, we'll see.  I just might take him back.  His name's Tooter.  Real name is Taquan, but everyone call him by the name of Tooter.  He plays the trumpet; y'all can probably guess where he got his nickname.  :)

Turquoise is no longer little: she is twenty four, a real pretty li'l thing.  Looks just like her daddy.  She sees me too, but she has her own life: she is going to school to become a teacher to kids who are handicapped.  Turquoise is doing real fine for herself; both Tooter and I couldn't be prouder of her!

Tooter says he is gonna take me and Turquoise to see the fireworks in downtown Fort Worth.  They expectin' a whole mess a' people, so we leavin' really early, to make sure we get a good spot.  They, the weather people, say it's gonna be sunny, but very hot.

Note to self: Medusa, girl, don't go on forgettin' the sunscreen.  Y'all know what happened last year: I ended up in the hospital with the heatstrokes.  I was really sick; I nearly died! Spent over a month from the hospital tryin' to recover; it was a miracle I didn't croak!  It's only by God's sovereign grace that I even survived!

Every week, on Sunday and again on Wednesday, I go to church.  Tooter and Turquoise go with me.  So does Turquoise's little boy, Tajun, who is a year old and is my first grandson!  He is so cute; he looks just like his mamma!  Such a precious little baby!  I love him to pieces!  I, Tooter, and Turquoise get so much out of church; we all love the preaching and the worshipping/singing!  I don't know what I would do if I didn't have Jesus in my life; He has blessed me tenfold!

Well, I hate to go, but Tooter is pickin' me up.  I worked earlier today and Tooter wants to take me out to eat.  Razzoo's Cajun Cafe' in Arlington.  He's also bringin' Turquoise and the baby, so it will be a real family affair.  Take care and may God bless you as much as He's been blessin' me!  Talk to y'all again!

~Love, Medusa.  :)
