July 10, 2011~
Brendan H. Lee here. I am not happy. Not happy AT all.
I have been here at McDodd since July 1, 2011. Got busted for the rumble I was involved in. Police came after neighbors complained about the noise level and the fireworks/firecrackers going off.
Some patriots they are! We were only trying to celebrate America's birthday! Can't we even do that without people gettin' all bent out of shape?? I mean, REALLY!!
I will be here at McDodd until at least the last day or the beginning of August. Oh, well ... at least we'll be out of the weather ... raining here (but then, it usually does; Washington state is known for its many rainy days!). And another good thing: I don't have to put up with my family, although dad comes to see me on the weekends (mom would, but she's too embarrassed about my behavior). Don't blame her, but hey: I had to defend our gang somehow!!
The people here aren't too bad, but they've been shoving behavior and religion down our throats. I'm not ready to hear about God yet. God must hate me for turning into a bad kid, but with my life, who can blame me for going sour on them?? I do love my family; I just wish they showed it better or at least treated me with some dignity and respect!! They treat my little brothers better than me; they always have!!
One of my friends (Snake) was stabbed in the chest; they think he's gonna be okay, but he's in the hospital now as I write this, recovering from his injuries. He even had to have surgery and everything. Too bad I am here; if I were at home, I'd wheedle mom or dad into taking me to the hospital, so I could visit Snake. I'm sure he doesn't feel too great.
And another friend, Tiny, got shot in the eye; they say he might end up losing his sight. He just got out of the hospital the other day, according to my social worker, but he has his eyes bandaged. It's too soon to tell if there's any permanent damage to his vision.
I got injured in the rumble, too, but I only got away with a black eye, a minor concussion, a bruised kidney, and several cracked ribs from when a goon tried to bury his hiking boot into my side. I'm not in nearly as much pain, but I still hurt if I move wrong or breathe in deep. And I look like I went through a round with Evander Holyfield or Muhammed Ali.
Well, I'm gonna get some Coke to drink; I'm thirsty. Then I'm gonna go to the game room and play me some Wii. I'll then call the hospital, Tacoma Medical Center, and see how Snake is doing. I'll also call Tiny's parents and do the same. Maybe I'll even get to talk to Tiny.
Take care and talk to you again!
