When God decides to bless people, he really blesses them in a HUGE way!!
I can't believe it: in just a few weeks, I will be delivering my fourth child, a little boy. He will join big brothers Kenai and Mattaq, who are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2, and big sister, Bella Michaela, who will be one year old on the 28th of August, next month! We are going to name our fourth child Taqaq Joshiah. The first part is from me, to celebrate my Inuit heritage; the second part is from my husband (Michael has a nephew named Joshiah, and he likes the name).
Just like the last time, I am going to have a C-section performed. I am too small to be able to deliver a baby the natural way: the last time I did (our second son, who was born in 2007), I nearly bled to death; I almost died. I was in the hospital for several weeks and then spent several more months recovering at home. Kenai's birth nearly killed me. It took forever for me to get over it.
I call Kenai my miracle child because it is only by God's grace that he (and I) even survived the ordeal.
Speaking of birthdays, our daughter (Child #3), Bella Michaela, will be turning one year old on August 28th of this year. We plan on having a huge birthday bash for her. Jerrica (my sister) and her family (as well as Michael's family, who lives in Louisiana) will be coming to the party. It is going to be a fun time; I and Michael plan on taking lots of pictures (and possibly video that we can post to YouTube for our family and friends!).
The children are excited about having a new brother. Every day they ask when he's coming; I tell them to be patient; he will be here soon enough. They have already made cards for little Taqaq Joshiah and have already decided to give him some of their (gently-used) toys. They are going to be wonderful big brothers (and sister)!
Bella is a little jealous of the fact that she will soon no longer be the baby. She has turned rather clingy; she doesn't want to leave my (or her daddy's side). We try to reassure her that we won't love her any less and we give her lots of extra attention full of hugs and kisses.
That will soon be forgotten when she has her first birthday party: all that will matter to her then is that all the attention will be lavished upon her and there will be vanilla cake and lots of presents for the Birthday Girl! :)
I will probably be going into the hospital a few days prior to Taqaq's birth; that way, the doctors can monitor my condition and to make sure that there won't be any more problems like there was when Kenai was born nearly fou years ago! (Hard to believe that he's nearly four already! Seems like only yesterday when he was just born!)
Just pray that all goes well prior to the sugery, during the surgery itself, and afterwards! Pray that I don't have any complications! Once was more than enough!
Well, Bella is standing beside me; she looks rather annoyed. She also has a very wet diaper. I will hae to change her and put her back to bed for the night and check on the boys. I will write in here again, probably after Taqaq has arrived. If not, then Michael will; either way, you will hear from us. Until later, this is Jenna Doucet saying so long and may God bless you as much as He's been blessing our family!
~Love, your friend in Alaska, Jenna Aurora. :)
