Yo!  This is Skate Harrington writing; what's up?

Hope this finds you all well.  I am doing good; can't really complain.  I have really been enjoying the heck out of summer vacation, but in a few weeks, school will soon start back up again.  Gonna have to start going to bed earlier so I can get used to getting up at the crack of dawn again ... +Sigh+

Last night, I didn't get to bed until one this morning.  Spent a few hours watching the aurora borealis; there was a geometric storm, which, in turn, set off auroras, some as far south as north Texas (or so I heard according to Facebook).  They were very bright where I live:  purple, blue, green and red, even turquoise, white, and yellow. They were really spectacular!

Took over 200 shots with my camera, but it turns out I overexposed the film, so they didn't turn out as good as I would have hoped.  I was not happy!  That means I will have to do it all over again if the auroras come out tonight!

My famlly is well: my mom Delia, my dad Robert, my brothers Shane and Scott, and my sisters Shadie, Shaylah, and Morgan.  Still have the cat; we have a shorthaired dark grey and white Munchkin that I named "Smokey"; he is the cutest little thing!  I love his short legs!  Too bad the poor little thing can't jump off of high areas; he'd probably end up busting his legs.  So we have to pick him up and put him on the bed or take him off.    He purrs constantly; he has a lion's size purr for his tiny size!  It's hilarious!

In my family, I'm the oldest.  I'm fourteen.  Next comes Shane, who is 12.  After Shane comes Scott, who is 10.  Then come the girls.  Shadie is eight and Shaylah is six.  As for Morgan, she is only two ... and into everything!  She can be a pain in my rear!  Morgan drives me crazy, especially if she comes into my room and/or gets into my things!

I'm gonna have to invest in a lock for my room so the brat can stay out!!  Ugh!  Baby sisters!  They're the worst!  

Even though I am NOT ready for school to start back up, I will be glad to get away from Morgan and Shaylah (she can be bad too, but nothing, NOTHING like Morgan)!  (I will be in the ninth grade.  High school!!  I'm no longer a baby-faced middle schooler!!)

Only three years to go and I can graduate!! Whoot, whoot!! :D

I still plan on going to Texas A & M or Oklahoma University to persue a career in meteorology or storm chasing; if that doesn't pan out, I want to become a professional skateboarder or snowboarder like Tony Hawk (skateboard) or Shawn White (snowboard).  Think that would be so awesome getting paid for what you like to do the best!  :D

Well, I'm gonna go back to bed; still tired from being out watching the aurora borealis.  Don't plan on getting up before noon if I can help it ('less my folks have other ideas ... ).  I will write in here again; 'til then, this is Skate Harrington saying laters!  I'm outta here; my bed is calling me!
