Name's Craig, but people don't hardly call me that. They call me "Muscles" or "The Bod". Once you see me, you'll see why. It isn't that hard to figure out.
I had to bulk up because I wanted to play football. In order to play football, you need some muscles and meat on your bones. So I started lifting weights, training by running and other modes of exercise, and eating foods that are rather high in protein and calories: anything to build myself up.
I wasn't always this muscular. I used to be a skinny geeky wimp. A gust of wind could have easily toppled me over. As I said, I wanted to play sports, so I had no choice but to get myself bigger and in shape.
Football is about the only sport where big or chunky is in. A skinny wimp ain't gonna last for an entire quarter: more than likely, they'll get smashed (or worse) by the big gorillas on the team (or the opposing team).
Anyway, back to my story. I am big now, but am as fit as a fiddle. Goodness knows, I sure have practice enough and play just about any given Friday (or Saturday).
I am fifteen years old. I live with my family in Denver, Colorado. I am the oldest of four kids. I have a sister named Angelica (13), and three little brothers: Henry (11), Thaddeus (Thad, 9), and the runt of the litter, Abraham, who is 6 (and spoiled rotten!). I get along with 'em most of the time, but like all brothers or sisters, we do fight sometimes.
My mom cannot work. She is disabled (MS) and gets disability. She cannot walk well (mom uses crutches, sometimes a wheelchair on her bad days). As for Dad, he is a parole officer at a joil. He's done this now for over 10 years, since Henry and Anji were little.
I am in the tenth grade. I make pretty good grades, but if I go below a C I cannot play sports until I bring my grades back up. It's a pain, but more often than that, I do well in school.
I like to read, play on the computer, go to the library, play sports, visit my friends and/or pal around with them on the weekends if I don't have any football games scheduled (I usually do, but next week is a "by week", meaning we don't have to play), watch tv or movies, go to church on Sundays (we are Baptists), and help others if they need a hand.
Well, I'm at school as I write this (Study Hall), and I have to go, as we are about to change classes. Next class for me is gym. I will write in here again another time; 'til later, this is "The Bod" saying so long! God bless!
~Craig (aka "The Bod"). :)
To be continued.~
