Howdy! This is Nathan Lake writing; hope this finds y'all well and happy!
Things couldn't be better: seeing as well as ever since the surgery on my eyes, don't even need to wear glasses; it's great! I am also enjoying being with my girlfriend; she is a lot of fun, and I adore her! My girlfriend's name is Trysta Gentry; I have been going out with her since spring of this year. It's now fall, the second day of October.
We have gotten very serious in our relationship. I just love Trysta so much! Trysta has green eyes, auburn-colored hair that hangs to her waist in a mass of ringlets and curls, and soft, peach-colored skin. She is absolutely gorgeous!
Fall has definitely arrived in Middle Tennessee. The leaves are just about at peak and the highs this week are supposed to range from the upper sixties to the middle seventies. My ideal kind of weather! Ahhhh! :)
It won't be long before the ghosts and goblins go out in search for treats. It also won't be long before our church, Christ Community Assembly of God, holds their annual Fall Festival. They're expecting a turnout of well over 5,000 people; it is going to be hopping-busy between five and nine p.m.! I will be helping with the car smash this year. Last year, if I remember right, I was helping with the popcorn machine.
I had a blast!
And this week, the choir will start practicing for their upcoming Christmas Cantata, which is on December 11, this year. I am in the choir, so you will find me at the church on every Thursday up to just before the Cantata. Practice times start at six sharp. Deena and Darin, the music pastors, want things to go well. I don't blame them. They are extremely committed to the music ministry and the Lord is using them both in a mighty way.
I love being in the choir. I used to be in the King's Kids. Now that I am nearly 18, I have graduated to the adult choir. It's nice to be working with adults for a change. The kids are okay, but the smaller ones can get rather rambunctous! LOL
Then you have the upcoming "Feeding of the Veterans" on Veteran's Day and feeding the homeless and poor on Thanksgiving Day, as well as our Cantata AND feeding them on Christmas Day, plus the children's Christmas Pageant. Busy times ahead for Christ Community Assembly of God Church!!
Whee!
I am still working at the pizza place. Love it! Work tomorrow through Saturday, then I'm off on Sunday. I'm also off on Thursday for choir practice.
Well, I gotta go and eat as well as get ready for church this morning. I will write in here again; until later, this is Nathan Lake saying so long! God bless!
~Nathan. :)
