Jennifer Kaylin Grayson (nee' Steele) writing. Hope this finds you well.
Raising three kids (and working) keep this mamma well grounded, as does church-related doings and ongoing therapy/doctor apointments. Seems that is a reality I can't escape from. +Sighhhh+
Didn't help I tried to go into kidney failure and ended up in the hospital; was on dialysis for a few months before my kidneys finally decided to behave themselves and straightened themselves out. Thank God that's all in the past, but being sick like that sure knocked me for a loop!
Ant'won, my now ten-and-a-half year-old son, and my two stepdaughters (Karis and Caylie, who are now 8 and 10) keep me hopping. Ant,who has spina bifida, has been especially testy as of late: he won't do his exercises and balks whenever he has to go to therapy or another doctor appointment. Don't blame the little guy, but he is starting to drive me crazy!
He's only going to end up in worse shape than what he already is if he doesn't listen! He's as stubborn as me: a male variant of myself if there ever was one! Sheesh!!
It is raining here, but nothing too terribly bad. We may get some showers later, then maybe some snow on Sunday (snow showers), along with a few nice days thrown in between. Good! As long as it doesn't get nasty, I'm all for it!
Sometimes Caylie and Karis like to test my buttons, to see how far they can push. They think that because I happen to be in a wheelchair, they can walk all over me. Not so fast, girlies! I may be disabled, but I can throw my weight around if I have to, and I am NOT about to take no (or the rude, obnoxious behavior from two snippity, uppity preteens) for an answer! I will NOT, absolutely NOT, put up with their nonsense, and neither will their father!
I have been taking the girls with us to church, and I don't think they enjoy it like they used to. They'd much rather hang out with their friends or sleep in. Maybe so, but if you ask me, I think some of their little friends are a bad influence on Caylie and Karis! They are both starting to get bad attitudes and think that they're all that.
Other than his belligerance, Ant'won has been a jewel, in comparison to Caylie and Karis. I can thank God for that. I raised a great kid, even when I was still living the lesbian/gay lifestyle and was with Terri Leroi. I have truly been blessed, especially since I got out of that and am now living for Christ and have accepted Him into my life! Things haven't been the same since!
Chuck is still working on the Force. He works the night shift usually and soemtimes when he comes home he's a bear. Don't blame him: he deals with society's losers or criminals, and after a while, it can get to even the most seasoned, hardened of cops. I pray for his mind/sanity and his safety every time he leaves the house. It's a great big scary world out there!
I will say this much: my husband is a sex symbol in his police uniform! I'm talkin' MAJOR MOVIE IDOL material here, folks! :)
Speaking of husbands, for Valentine's Day he got me a new diamond wedding ring to replace the one I dropped down in the sink last week. I felt so horrible when that happened! Now I have a new ring and I won't have to worry about my friends thinking if I dumped Chuck Grayson or got divorced when nothing could be further from the truth! I am still very happily married to Chuck Grayson and I happen to love him more and more with each passing day!
Well, it's about time for me to go and get the kiddos from school; hopefully they all had a good day and hopefully none of them caused any trouble. I won't stand for misbehaving kids! I will write in here again soon; sorry it's been a while! Life has a way of getting in the way when one least expects it to! Take care and may God bless you always!
~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Jennifer Kaylin. :)
