Chad Skorpusski (aka "Ski") continues his story.

Hello from Chicago!!

Chad Skurpuski (aka "Ski") here.  Hope this finds you well!

Just got up.  NO school this week!! *Whewt!*  Easter break; I am so pumped!! I love it when we get to sleep in or do whatever we want!  (I just got up not even fifteen minutes ago; I love it!!)

I just hope Mary-Kate or Elizabeth, my two younger sisters, don't get me into trouble.  They like to do that sort of thing; it's really a pain in my keister!

The weather here is cold and cloudy, not to mention, rainy.  Ugh!  I want to play outside and hang out with my friends, but the weather looks like it has the upper hand, so I guess I will stay indoors and read, play my buttonbox, or play on the computer ... that is, if Mama, Babushka, or Papa don't find chores for me to do.

I have been doing well, and so has my family.  Uncle Stanislav was in the hospital last week for five days (his blood pressure went through the roof), but he's doing much better now: he just has to be on a low salt/low cholesterol diet and take medication for his blood pressure and cholesterol.  It scared us, but thank God his heart and kidneys checked out just fine.

I got to visit Uncle Stan when he was in the hospital, but it was boring, so I went back home and flopped around on the bed and said some prayers.  The prayers musta' worked, 'cause Uncle Stan is back home and doing better.

High blood pressure runs in our family.  That's what killed Babushka's husband (Grandpapa) five years ago.  Heart attack caused by extremely high blood pressure.  He was in his later seventies; he would have been eighty this year had he lived.  I miss Grandpapa so much; he was a lot of fun!

I pray and hope that Mama, Babushka, or Papa don't get high blood pressure, not to mention, Elizabeth or Mary-Kate; that would really suck having to give up foods you love 'cause they could be bad for you!

Anyway, I'm glad school is out this week.  I am tired of homework and teachers blaming kids for stupid stuff or their making mad faces at us because some morons decided to be cute and act up in class.  I also hate getting up before the crack of dawn and now with the stupid time change, we'll be geting on the bus before the sun is up, which is a pain in my butt!!

I don't know what we will be doing for Easter, but I bet Mass is in there.  We always go to church for Easter, then Mama and Papa take us to the park and we go out to eat before we cut loose.  I love Easter; I love getting money and goodies from Babushka, Uncle Stanislav, and other relatives!  To me, that's probably the best part about Easter!

Well, I hate to go, but I'm hungry.  I'm gonna feed my face and try to decide what to do next.  Maybe I'll just hang out in my P.J.'s all day and be a lazy slug; it's perfect weather for it!  Take care and God bless; I'll write in here again!

~Ski (Chad Skropuski).  :)
