Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux is looking forward to going home to Tennessee to spend Easter with her family.

Dear Journal~

Howdy from Cajun Country!

I hope and pray this finds y'all well.  As for me, I wish it were still Sunday: at least I get to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday, plus Sundays mean one thing to me: CHURCH.  Now Monday is just a few hours old and I have to be up by seven, so I can be out the door by eight, to go to my first class of the day, which begins at nine.  REALLY??

I am NOT a morning person AT all.  And it doesn't help that next week is Finals Week.  UGH!!  NOT so worried about my grades, but dang, I hate final exams!!  I don't like all the extra studying I have to do!

Oh, well ... at least I have one thing to look forward to: after finals, we (Michael and myself) are driving up to Tennessee, where we will spend a week with our families.  It will be so good to see Maman, Daddy, and all my brothers and sisters (plus Rebekka, Johnny's wife) again!  I've missed them all terribly!

We can also go to church on Easter Sunday for special services, and already Pastor Bilkey has asked me to sing "The Old Rugged Cross".  Don't mind doing it, as I love to sing, but I would have liked a little more advanced notice ... :)  Haven't done a lot of singing lately, so that means extra time with my vocal exercises.

I'm just glad the recent rains and flooding issues have moved on.  We had several inches of water in our dorm, and last week, I even found a snake in the closet.  I about DIED!!  If there is one thing I absolutely hate, it's SNAKES!! Gad!!  I about had a heart-a-stroke!!  (((o.0)))

Don't ask ME how it got in my closet: I went to open the door, so I could get a shirt, and there was this ... this  ... SNAKE ... coiled up in the corner.  I think they could hear me screaming all the way to Florida!!

Ever since, I make Michael go in there to get my clothes because I'm terrified I'll find another danged snake in my closet!  GAD!!!!  (Shudder, shudder, shudder ... )

My parents are on vacation as I write this: they are spending a week in Galveston, Texas.  They needed to get away for a little while.  I am happy for them; I know Akihiko (my newest brother; he's three) has been driving them both crazy.  (Akihiko, who was adopted from Japan, has autism and can be a hanful, according to Maman and Daddy.)  Also the demands of taking care of forty-plus other kids have been wearing thin on 'em and they needed a break.

I hope and pray they enjoy themselves immensely.  I haven't been to Galveston since I was like, nine years old; maybe Michael and I ought to take a trip down there sometime next month, after all the madness from the Crawfish Festival (held the second week of May) dies down somewhat.  I'd love to go back to Galveston, Texas, again, and Michael has never been there.  There is so much to do down there in Galveston!

Grandpere' and Grandmere' Moliere' are running the show at home, plus the older kids left are helping them, so it's not all on their shoulders.  I have so many wonderful brothers and sisters; I am truly blessed!

Well, I have to go and eat breakfast, take my morning round of meds, then get dressed (rather, have Michael get my clothes, THEN get dressed!), and head out the door, so we can be at our classes by starting time; Professor Lakely doesn't like us to be late.  I will write in here again soon; until then, this is Ronee' Le-Anne Reaux signing off!  Take care and may God bless you mightily!  Pray we have a safe trip to Tennessee and pray I (and Michael) do well on our finals!  I would greatly appreciate it!  Thanks!

~Love, your friend in Louisiana, Ronee' Le-Anne.  :D

Snakes on a plane? Nope: snakes in the dorm! LOL *shudder* They'd have heard me screaming all the way to Florida, too. Well done, Karen!
