Louisiana Sandusky is enjoying her day off from work after working all weekend.

Nashville, Tennessee, April 16, 2012 (Monday), 10:42 a.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Good morning!!

Just got up and am trying to peel my eyeballs open.  Not working very well ... where's my coffee????

And the first thing I did was nearly fall over Cajun Gold, my little three-pound Pomeranian, who is dancing around my legs, just begging to be fed or loved on.  Hard not to be mad at her when all I have to do is look at her adorable little grinnin' self ....

Bill is lying on his stomach, snoring to beat the band.  I swear the dead can hear him sawing logs; he snores LOUDLY!!  Sheesh!  LOL  No use trying to get HIM up; he sleeps hard!

The kids are probably at school excepting for the ones already graduated (Todd, Jodie, etc.); they're probably asleep too because I don't see any lights from the monitors or hear any movement.  Good.  Maybe I can get some things done ....

Worked all weekend. I worked in the Emergency Room.  It was crazy.  All sorts of goings on and it didn't let up until past 2:00 yesterday afternoon.  Didn't even make it to church, I was so wiped.

I'm just glad I was able to celebrate Easter Sunday with the family.  The Cantata went over very well: so well, in fact, that over 50 people gave their hearts to the Lord.  It was awesome!  Ronee' did a great job with her solo and Johnathon, as always, did a great job acting as sign language interpreter.  He really enjoys doing this; he's known sign language since he was very small (he is hard of hearing himself).

Johnathon would make a great interpreter for the deaf, but he's in college studying to become a meteorologist or a storm chaser.  He loves anything having to do with weather.

Speaking of weather, they had some terrible storms in the Heartland (Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska).  Saturday was a very high risk weather day and numerous tornadoes had been reported.  Last I knew, 5 people (three adults, two children) were killed in the Oklahoma panhandle the day after they were hit by another tornado.  CRAZY.

Here in Nashville, it is rainy, but nothing too bad.  We are supposed to have storms until the noontime hour and then it's supposed to dry out and be nice until the weekend (figures!).  At least the weather wasn't like it was over the nation's Heartland!  I thank God for that!!  I'm tired of running kids to the safety of our saferoom and basement or protecting my family from severe storms!  We've had more than enough of that lately here!

Easter was nice for us.  We went to church, as I said earlier, and we went out to eat for a good, home-cooked meal at Golden Corral.  We really enjoyed visiting with each other and I enjoyed hanging out with my kids and grandkids.  We had an Easter egg hunt when we got home and rested our bellies; then we went back to church for the evening service, then took them out for Dairy Queen, as they all behaved.  We were home by ten that night.  It was a long day, but a day full of fun, family, fellowship, and food!  :)

I'm still tired!  Good thing I'm off today and tomorrow; I then work for the next five days (11 a.m.-11 p.m. shift).  I will do laundry probably tomorrow; today I'm gonna just take it easy and try to get some writing or some serious reading in.  I've neglected both lately!

Well, I think the bed is calling me, so I will lie down and go back to sleep once I take care of the dog, who is acting like she is half starved (Her? Starved?? Nope, she's the fattest, furriest little thing I have ever seen! LOL).

I will write in here again; until later, this is Lousiana Sandusky saying so long; may God bless you as much as He's been blessing me and my family!

~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May.  :)
