Louisiana Sandusky is relieved that one of her best friends has been released from the hospital after being involved in an auto accident.

Sunday, April 29, 2012, Christ Community Assembly of God Church, 9:29 p.m., D.S.T.~

Louisiana here.  Am currently at church, listening to Pastor Bilkey preach (I know, I know: should be listening to the pastor instead of typing on my phone, but I had to get this down; sorry!).  Hope y'all are well; we sure are, thank You, Lord Jesus!

Kendra Mae came to church this morning!! She is a little banged up, sporting bruises and numerous scrapes, but she is otherwise okay.  Kendra is going to have to take it easy for a while; she did have a head injury, and it takes some time to recover from those things.  I have been watching her like a mamma hen and have already told her (several times) if she feels weak or dizzy, then Michael should take her home so she can rest.

Just a few weeks ago, Kendra was fighting for her life after a drunk driver hit the driver's side of her van.  She was seriously injured and had been in a coma, but now she's awake and out of the hospital!  It has been nothing but a miracle, a God-given miracle!  I am continuing to praise Him and thank Him for His goodness for sparing my friend's life!  It could have very easily been far worse; I just thank God it wasn't!

The weather is beautiful today: bright sunshine, with temps in the lower seventies:  perfect springtime weather (although a bit cooler than normal).

I had to laugh at my daughter when she called me the other day: Ronee' was walking with her fiance' on the college campus and they happened upon a snake.  Ronee'  has a huge fear of snakes.  Well, Ronee' started screeching like a fire engine and dancing between her crutches, also whacking at the snake with her crutches.  People were looking at her, wondering why this demented young lady was carrying on so much.

Michael came to her rescue by killing the snake.  It was nothing more than a harmless little milk snake, but to Ronee', it was more like a rattle snake.  LOL

Ronee' did not sleep well that night.  She kept dreaming of snakes.

Anyway, back to Kendra: when I  had heard she had been injured, I tell you, my heart sunk to my toes.  It was the worst feeling I could ever face; after all, Kendra Mae is one of my very dearest friends; she and I have been through a lot together, even when she was living in California.  She and I  have a very close, loving relationship: we are almost like sisters!

Then Michael Kent waltzed into her life and swept her (and her many children) off her (their) feet, and the rest, as they say, is history.  More children have since been added to the family and for the most part, life has been good for them.

When Kendra was in the hospital this latest time, Michael was there about the whole time while the older children took charge of things at home, taking care of the little ones, keeping family members and friends advised of the latest news on Kendra, and making sure things stayed in order.  I remember holding Micheel in my arms and trying to console him those first few scary days after the wreck happened.

Now Michael and Kendra sit a few pews down from us and it is great to see her looking so alive and healthy (albeit a bit bruised up, as I mentioned before).  I continue to praise God for protecting her like He did.

Well, I'd best stop writing on my iPhone before Pastor Bilkey catches me and gives me the evil eye.  He doesn't like it when we text or play on our cell phones during his sermons; he wants our full attention.  LOL  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Louisiana Mayrah signing off!  Take care and may God bless you as much as He's been blessing me (and Kendra Kent)!

~Love, your friend in Tennessee, Louie May.  :D

I liked this one too. Go to facebook and look up Connie Mae Fowler. She's a great Florida writer. I think you'd enjoy her stuff.
