All American Boy (Ahmed's Story Part Three)

Ahmed is in fifth grade now, and he loves school. He plays tball on a team for children with disabilities, and he has made alot of friends. But it is his faith we are most proud of him for. He serves the Lord with his whole heart and soul, and thinks nothing of stopping during school to pray for a friend who was hurting.

Ahmed is doing well, wonderful actually, it's hard to believe he has been with us for three years now, three years of sheer joy and we are blessed because of it.

Ahmed loves everything American, from GI's to hotdogs.  He loves Jesus, and is doing well.  He was even advanced a grade, the work was just to easy for him, and they are talking about advancing him again.  He may be in a chair, but Ahmed does not let that stop him.

We thought of giving our little boy an "American Name" but we decided Ahmed is his name, and he is American, why confuse him with another name?

He actually got suspended for this once, can you imagine?  A child punished for praying and this is America? What did my Husband and brother in law fight for?  They fought for our freedom, but somehow we as Christians seemed to have gotten left out of that equation.

It was hard for Ahmed to understand how something like this could happen in America, truth be told it was hard for me to understand as well.

Well I better go and tell Ahmed to turn his lights off school in the morning and he is still up reading a Chronicles of Narnia book!!

God Bless

Sierra McDavid,

Ahmed's Mom

This story is so compelling. It is a cross section of where we are in America today. This boy with a non-Christian name prays to Jesus with a friend and gets suspended! One can only wonder if he prayed to a pagan God if he would be given a free pass. This is what is so wrong with America. We have freedom for the minority religions and we put a dagger in our own heartland grassroots Christian believer. Why? It's still the same old garbage that is being thrown in our faces which is called "Political Correctness" but it's so wrong! This is a sad twist of fate in the wrong direction! For having the Love of Jesus in our hearts we are being dammed! What can be MORE insane and inhumane?

So happy that Ahmed is doing well; great update! Maybe if he is having trouble at school for sharing his faith (sad!), maybe his mom could homeschool him?? Just a thought ....

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D
