June 10, 2012, Chicago, Illinois~

Hello from Chicago!

Chad here.  Hope this finds you all well.  As for me, I just got back from swimming; would have swam more, but the mosquitoes were threatening to eat me alive, so I had no choice but to stop and come back inside.

Had a nice day.  Went to church (Mass) this morning with my family, then went out to eat at Bob Evan's; I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes with lots of brown gravy, a tomato and lettuce salad, and for dessert, a nice honking piece of homemade apple pie.  It was extremely good; but I had to wait a while before my food digested so I could go swimming, which is what I did until about ten minutes ago.

The weather here is gorgeous: sunny and rather warm, with temps in the eighties: you couldn't have asked for better summer weather!  I pray it continues!  I love this kind of weather!

Now that school is out (ended last week; I passed!  I will be a sophomore at Northrup High come September!), I can concentrate on cramming in as much fun as possible and do what I want, without any teachers telling me what to do or worrying about homework!  I can sleep in late and annoy Mary Kate and Elizabeth, my two brat younger sisters!

Next month, we are going to go to Ohio and visit Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, which is on Lake Erie.  I haven't been there, but I have heard so much about it.  I am really looking forward to it.  I am a sucker for roller coasters and fast thrill rides; Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters! 17!!!!  That is gonna be so freaking AWESOME!!  I canNOT wait!!!!

We're also gonna see fireworks for the Fourth and then after that, head to Ohio for a week.  We will probably go downtown here in Chicago and go to the Blues Festival; we go practically every year.  This year my Uncle Stan is slated to perform as one of the acts, so that means I will be sharing the stage, playing my buttonbox accordion, with his band.  Gonna be cool!  Looking forward to that!

Well, Mama and Papa suggested we go to get some ice cream at Dairy Queen; sounds like a grand plan, so I will go.  I will write in here again soon; until later, this is Ski saying so long! God bless!

~Ski.  :)
