I knew I shouldn't have taken Iggy in ...
Iggy is my 16 pound Maine Coon cat. Orange, very furry, intense green eyes that stare balefully at you, long whiskers, a big, bushy tail, huge paws that are well tufted and at the ready to strike at any unsuspecting fool who gets too close to him.
Iggy has a temper to be reckoned with. I don't know what his exact problem is, but the fact is this: he clearly hates people, especially men.
He even hates me. I have tried more than once to try to win him over, but no go. He hisses at me and if I do something he does not like, he will growl deep in his silken thorat. More than once he has scratched me to the point of drawing blood.
Iggy is my sister's cat ... or WAS. I took him in as a favor; she developed an allergy to cats; cats make her violently sick, so i had no chioce but to take Iggy in. So now I'm stuck with a mean cat who wants nothing to do with anybody unless it's a woman.
I don't want to take him to the pound; the only pound around here is a kill shelter where unwanted animals are killed if they aren't adopted in a week's time. I figured Iggy deserved far better than that, so i stupidly took him in and now my arms are covered with bite and claw marks from this stupid cat!
If he bites me or claws me one more time, I may have to do something drastic; his "cattitude" si starting to drive me crazy!!
