I stared down at Jessica, tears still streaming down her face.
"Could you stop staring, and help me?" She asked, between the tears.
I couldn't believe what I had become.
I was a monster.
I offered her an arm silently.
"Please don't say anything."
"How can no one know?"
"A few people know, but they are my closest friends, it doesn't matter to them. You see I am not the perfect princess you thought I was, it should make you happy." Jessica said, giving me a mouth full, one I certainly deserved.
Had all those years of Judge not, flown out of my head. I let Jealousy become a drug to me, and it was poison flowing through my veins.
Heck I was becoming poison.
"It happened four years ago, before I even lived here, it is not exactly something I want to share with the world. I work hard to appear normal, but I will never have my own two legs again. A drunk driver did this, it wasn't something I asked for. Bad things do happen to good people, I am not the monster you would have everyone believe I am."
I knew Jessica was speaking the truth. I was the one with the issue. I was the one spreading vicious rumors, saying lies about this girl.
"Please I do not want the whole school to know, and I know from experience you have issues keeping your mouth shut." Jessica said, the anger evident in her voice.
Truth was I couldn't blame her for being angry. I was angry at myself.
I knew this was one time I was going to remain quiet though. I could not hurt Jessica anymore than I already had.
Lord forgive me for being such a fool, and giving Christianity such a bad name. I acted like an idiot not a Christian.
