The Truth About Zombies. ...

A boy dreams about zombies.

They were everywhere.

There was no way I could possibly escape ...

Fetid, foul smelling creatures that were clad in ripped, dirty, blood-stained clothing, facial features distorted by their permanent frozen grimace, eyeballs falling out or missing altogether, their breath a nauseating, disgusting stench that could be smelled for miles .... they wre coming after me .... no, lurching or limping was more like it.

I was being overrun by zombies, who seemed to appear from every direction.  I was trapped.

Then the alarm sounded, bringing me out of my zombie-infested nightmare.

Yet I was not really that worried.  For you see, I love anything having to do with zombies.  Don't ask me why, I just do.  In fact, the nastier, the uglier, the scarier the zombie, the more I like 'em.  I read up on all the books about zombies, watch horror movies on nights when I don't have any homework or on the weekends, and play the video games starring ...  yep, you guessed it ... zombies.  Call me a real zombie-maniac.

In fact, this year for Halloween, I am planning on being a zombie.  Fake blood, fake stained teeth, a little make up job on my face and eyes (and arms), to where it looks as if my skin is falling off or rotting, messing up my hair, and VOILA!  Instant zombie!

I plan on being one of the scariest zombies around this town, plan on scaring the bejesus out of my friends and family (particularly my baby sister, B, who hates monsters of any kind; I know that's mean, but that's to get back at her for all the times she's gotten into my stuff; paybacks are a bitch!).

I plan on winning the top prize of $200.00 smackaroos at the school's Hallowe'en party come Hallowe'en night!  When it comes to monsters, this zombie-kid is gonna HOWL!!!!!

My mom gets annoyed at me (as does Dad) because of my zombie fetish (as they call it), but hey ... it's better than getting into fights or getting into various sorts of mischief!  I love my horror movies and comix and I love my zombie games and books and what not!

Well, it's time for me to go; gonna read before bedtime (yep, you guessed it: another zombie book!).  I do hope I win that $200.00; I can think of some really cool stuff (horror-related) that I could buy to scare my little sister with so she doesn't keep bugging me to death!  :)
