Today at church, Pastor Bilkey talked about "Praying Big", or asking God to answer ALL our prayers.
No prayer is too big or too small; God hears each and every one of them. He will answer all your prayers; all you have to do is just ask, trust, hope, and BELIEVE. No prayer is left unanswered. No, not one.
I have seen God do some incredible things in and amongst our church family, including adoptions, provision for bills, food, or other needs when all hope seemed lost, unexpected job opportunities, good reports from doctors or hospitals, and so much more. To see all the blessings being poured out like this gives me hope for my own needs.
I have been taking care of my elderly mother, who has Alzheimer's. Right now she is able to be at home, but she has to be watched constantly or else she may do things that may jeopardize her health (as well as ours) or our home (such as turning on the gas on the stove, misplacing the keys, putting her shoes in the freezer, or her nightly wanderings, where she tries to get out of the house and go only God knows where). It is not easy because I know that her illness is getting worse; I know what the future holds, and to tell you the truth, it scares me so badly!
I know God will send someone to help out when I am tied down with my job or the needs of my family; until then, I have to often put them on the back burner because I am often dealing with Mama. So far, I've done okay, but it is starting to take a toll on my physical, spiritual, and emotional health. It is not easy to deal with a loved one who has a disease like Alzheimer's!
I also have to keep on hoping, trusting, and believing in God, and knowing that He has an answer to my situation. I don't know when it will come true , but I have to do this at all costs. God cares about even me and my mother's needs; the key word here is faith.
Just keep me in your prayers and pray for my mother. I (and she) would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance! God bless!
