Dante backed into the mess hall and watched Roderick and his men come inside. "Well look at what we have here. Mister Companion." Roderick spit on Dante's boot. "You worthless bastard. I should be the one with Aria! ME! Where is my beautiful female companion?"
"Well, I'm sure when the perfect she-bear comes along for you, you two will live happily ever after." Dante retorted.
"Oh, so you're a jester now?" Roderick spit on Dante's other boot.
He had gone far enough. Dante clenched his right fist up, but kept it at his side.
Roderick saw his tightened fist and said, "Oh what? You gonna hit me? Mr. Composure finally losing his cool?" Roderick stood on his tiptoes, still not standing taller than Dante's chin. "Well go on" He tapped his jaw, "Hit me right there."
"I'm not stupid. You have your friends here. I wouldn't land a punch."
Roderick went back down to his normal feet, "Well we'll just have to fix that, won't we. Listen up!" he called to the men. "I want no interference in this fight. Be you man, beast, or otherwise." He turned his back to Dante and said to the men, "Understood?"
Murmurs of agreement came from the men.
"Well then," he began to turn around, "lets get this start-"
He had just finished turning around when Dante landed a hard punch to Roderick's mouth. Blood flew through the air as he flew back into a small group of men. He quickly composed himself and jumped at Dante swinging his arms. Dante easily avoided Roderick's angered swings.
Dante punched him hard in the stomach and Roderick stumbled back a few steps. Dante moved in quickly and picked the small sailor up and slammed him through a table, breaking it in half. Dante jumped on top of him, placed his knees on the sailor's arms, and started to viciously landed punches to his head.
Through some means of incredible time judgment and accuracy, Roderick caught one of Dante's knuckles with his teeth. Dante's knuckles began to bleed as the sailor's teeth locked on and tightened.
Dante finally managed to free his knuckles from Roderick's mouth and he backed up from the tiny crewman. Roderick jumped up and immediately tackled Dante's legs, knocking him down. He took his tiny legs, which still packed a powerful punch, and kicked Dante in the stomach over and over.
Dante grabbed his leg and pushed him down on his back. Dante coughed and stomped Roderick on the in the head again and again.
"Enough!" Dante heard a female voice call from behind the crowd of men standing in the hall.
