On 5-30-09 I received a letter from a gentleman who is 84 years young. He said
"I thoroughly enjoyed 'According to Grover.' It is enjoyable, entertaining and humorous. And it is more interesting because I lived through so much that you describe in your book.
You have a great talent for writing in a humorous and 'can't-put-the-book-down' manner. I had many hearty laughs.
Thanks for brightening my hours with a wonderful description of our lives-According to Grover."
This gentleman lives in Western New York, about 200 miles from Michaelville. While fame and fortune are surely goals to strive for, receiving a letter like this, to me, is much more important. |
