Success Story |

I've had the fortune of being surrounded by successful people who don't mind sharing their "How Tos". The day I returned home from the military and decided I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming an author, the first person who said yes was my sister Wavis Pegram Washington. For this I am forever grateful to her.
Just months after my sister agreed to join me with the book, I told my mother, Prenzina Holloway, of my aspirations to run for a public office so that I may continue to help others. She immediately got on the phone and called several of her contacts to let them know I her daughter was interested in the continuation of public service to the people of these United States. Within months I was involved in the community and helping others which led to my nomination by the Town Committee as an endorsed candidate for the Hartford City Council. Thanks to their appreciation for my willingness to work hard and sacrifice, the citizens of Hartford, CT elected me in November 2003 to a four-year term as a member of the Court of Common Council.
