My stories about the Sha Bebe, dolls who are "born" in the sugarcane fields of Louisiana is fantasy/fiction based on folklore. My family's stories were different. We all must embrace differences, or we start to become soulfully non-existent.
Well, Cajun Fairies are called the Fee Folay. (Feufollet in French). They live in large trees with the fire flies. The good fairies seek out souls who are lost, and bring them messages. There are good Cajun Fairies and there are some who are not good.
The bad ones seek only to destroy!
My biggest success story is, first my family and then, coming up with fairy tale stories about my dolls (The Sha Bebe).
I've been told that the books are destined to become the next Louisiana classic collection.
