My life has been filled with challenges, primarily through health problems which hounded me for the first 40-plus years. Inspite of the fact that I battled epilepsy until the disorder was corrected Dec. 6, 1994 at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, Calif., I have been able to maintain a journalist/freelance career that has included writing, marketing and publicity in motor sports, real estate and automotive.
More than anything, I think it's absolutely essential to maintain a positive attitude. A good outlook will help conquer any challenge in life and enable a person to enjoy the beauty of victory.
Setbacks are a part of life. It's how we respond to them that sets us apart from everyone else. |
