DEC 05/JAN 06: The new year has started with a bang. We (Stacy Mantle and I) have worked hard to build a solid foundation for our newest venture, called GrokQuest!, LLC. We can now offer a wider range of custom writing, graphics and consulting services, including professional printing on our own premises!
We are growing, and very excited to have the opportunities that are now opening up for us. For me, personally, from September of 2005 till now, have been the BEST months ever! A great business partner, new business, new contracts from new clients, and renewed optimism for the future. I'm liking it! :o)

OCT/NOV 2005: This has been a very busy and productive season for me. This month I am involved with designing a series of murals for a local restaurant.
I also have a couple of illustrated books in the works. One is a book of puzzles. A very dear friend of mine designed several computer programs that generate puzzles of all kinds. I am using those puzzles to create illustrated pages, with information on each page about the subjects of the illustrations and corresponding puzzles. Hard to describe, but I'm working hard to make it a fun (but useful!) book for kids to enjoy.
My other book is an illustrated cookbook. Definitely not your grandmother's cookbook though. In fact, Betty Crocker will probably gasp in horror. It should be out by the summer of '06... I'm still testing recipes.
And last, but certainly not least, my partner, Stacy Mantle, and I are very busy writing and illustrating some new childrens information and activity books. Watch us grow! |
