| I joined Authors Den to promote my book Missing Michael A Mother's Story of Love, Epilepsy and Perseverance. It was never about writing a best-seller. Instead, I am passionate about educating as many people as possible about epilepsy as I believe that increasing awareness and understanding may result in decreasing the stigma and many myths associated with the condition. I sent an e-mail to many friends and to people who have written reviews of or read the book, to notify them about my presence on Authors Den. As a result, the Communications editor at the Epilepsy Foundation of America, read my blogs on Authors Den, each one of them about a seizure experience; some my son's, others in the headlines. Bottom line: I was asked to be the featured blogger of the national organization. I am thrilled with this opportunity. I will now reach a ntional audience of those impacted by epilepsy. I am truly fortunate to have this opportunity! |
