Success Story |
|
|
| And the writing continues… Today I finished the first draft to a wonderful novel entitled, Maples In Autumn. I finished that book in five months. What makes this a success story is that I have published two books, Charity’s Window and Waiting, both books are doing well. Yet, I’m now seeking representation for a third work, Father’s Day. I’m having a difficult time getting that book placed. And it was beginning to get to me. It was getting to me so much that I almost not finished Maples In Autumn. Every time I would think of slowing down, I get inspiration to move forward. The more I get rejected the more my writing increases. Today, I have three works that are waiting to go and still I continue to write. I enjoy writing. It’s the most joyful and relaxing task I’ve ever done. I enjoy watching my characters come alive, and do their thing. I enjoy watching how everything comes together in the end. Sometimes I feel like a pianist as my fingers stroke each key on the keyboard. I relish in the fact that people are reading my novels. I actually have devoted readers. And the joy of hearing them tell me what they liked or disliked, or perhaps hearing my readers start a heated discussion about something that happened in the book makes me the happiest author on earth. So tomorrow I begin book number six, The Talbot Sisters… And so the writing continues… |
