Was in a local restaurant this evening and a woman visiting from Tennessee for the Vols/Gators game approached me:
"Are you Wendell Whitney Thorne, the writer?"
(Sometimes I just don't know how to answer, depending upon how I'm asked)
"Yes, I am," I reply.
"Well, I just want you to know that I enjoyed your book very much; you've said it like it is and I think everybody should read it!"
I thanked her. But the best part is that I was with my three little kids and they were saying, "Wow, Dad, that woman read your book and she knew you..."
I thought that was the best. |
