As I seek love in the silence of nature
I feel passion, in the quiet moments of night
For solitude allows the heart to speak
Isolation invites the heart to sing
Love remains the only power of the heart.
It can change . . . the disposition of the heart.
That secret beauty of love does not lie
Within the beauty nor colors of a butterfly
But within the silence of the cocoon
From whence it comes.
Yes it lies . . .
Within the quietest yearning of the breast
And the full power of love
That lies untouched
Deep within the whispers of the heart
It awakens and unfolds time and time again
Like the seas approach and return
Time and time again, time and again.
Does love remain . . .
The only power of the heart?

This is something I think we should all take heed of. It is an idea that came to me that was inspired by a comment that Tinka Boukes made in reviewing my last poem. Thanks Tinka !!

I know you don't recall my name
But I know who you are
The voice that calls you everyday
Yes, the very one you always ignore
Whispering your desires and everyday dreams
Because dream you do
I tell you all the things that you want to hear
But you don't listen to me
Continue you do, seeking through darkness and light
Searching everyday just to find me
And here I am right here for you
Though you never ever see me
I know exactly what it is you want
For I want all those things too
You won't believe a word I say
Whatever pearls of wisdom I give out
Nursing a broken heart
Despite my knowing just what it would take to mend you
I believe in you
Everywhere you might go, I'm there with you too
Tasting your tears and feeling your hurt
The only one that understands what tears you apart
Filling your soul with comfort when it loses faith
Holding your hand to fill an empty space
Hello, please don't turn your back on me
Let me be all the things for you that I could be
Trust in my judgement come what may
Accept my embrace to keep your fears at bay
I am such an integral part of who you are
I am the self-belief you've forgotten and hide away in your mind
