This book on scams is informative, funny, interesting, serious and will be a real eye opener! These scams happen every single day!
If you believe that you know a person that is being scammed...this is a must read!
Don't think for a second that it can't happen to you. The victims in this book all felt the same way until they realized how much money was truly lost.
Scamming is a lifestyle of a different sort. You actually choose to scam a person out of money, property or their identification. I have mentioned in other books that scams are here to stay, but the key is finding ways to thwart the scammer and beat them at their own game. Scammers pride themselves on being smart. They feel that they are hustlers and understand how to work a person and work the streets. They also feel that they are charmers and can find that key to opening up doors that will allow you to let your guard down. This is when they may have the opportunity to exploit you and disrupt your life by scamming you.
Based on my findings, all of the above appears to be true because of the many educated people that contacted me about being scammed.
This book has internet scam after internet scam. I even went so far as to play into what the scammers were selling. Of course, I was never scammed, but to read the crap that the ‘would be’ scammers would come up with was shocking and funny.
I became a victim for the sake of writing this book. I sat and read intensely trying to dissect what was being written in the emails that I received. Once I felt comfortable with what was thrust in front of me, I jumped in completely with no parachute.
Chuck….Chuck…Chuck!!! Where do I start with this scam, which was executed with the precision of a surgeon! This scam started with a simple email on one of those infamous social networks. It seemed harmless enough when he received the first email from the scammer.
Chuck was divorced and as he so eloquently put it, just a lonely old man. Not that 60 is old, but to him, he was a lonely old man. He joined the social network to find friends locally. He said that his brother joined one and found a bit of success with the ladies. He was lonely and horny, so off he went into social networking cyberspace!
He would just surf the social network without looking for anything in particular. After a few weeks of nothingness and boredom, he was contacted by this beautiful model looking woman. Typically, when you are hit up without soliciting, your guard should automatically go up. His flag did not, but his penis did!
Once he responded to the email, which only said, “Hey Handsome! Do you want to chat with me right now?” He responded, “Sure!”
The trap had been set and he was about to lose more than he bargained for. His profile was honest, but her profile was completely fabricated. It looked enticing, but it was completely false. Why would this gorgeous and young white woman want to date this older black man? It could happen, but highly unlikely. Oh, by the way, she just happened to live in Nigeria! Scam was written all on this one!
They began to send each other emails back and forth for weeks and then the discussion began to change. She began talking about coming to visit. She also began talking about feelings being developed! He fell for it all. Not one time did his red flag raise.
